He won two world series immediately after leaving here and talks about he genuinely loved Chicago. He was also an all-star here. What jet fumes are you smoking today?5 points

No we need the truth to burn the rot out of this diseased s%*#. No more letting it fester in the dark. No more pretending everything is fine and it's all the next guys fault.3 points

He’s angry, old, and bitter. Can’t trust anything Peavy says. He failed us.3 points

Bwahahaha, read this article and then laugh at the posters that think this team will ever improve anytime soon. Nothing improves until JR is six feet under. Period.3 points

The Bummer trade was a failure. Getz thought Lopez would be a legit starting 2B and that Soroka and Shuster could be 3 and 5 starters in his rotation. He should have traded Bummer for prospects, not scrub vets to fill his roster. The Sox have a 25 year old reliever to show for that trade. Simply an awful trade of a lefty reliever who had trade value.3 points

And when he gave up 5 home runs in 50 innings in August that was a symptom of them having overworked him in the first half. He’s fresher in September because they eased up on the accelerator.3 points

Naw, burying their heads in the ground fixes nothing. They need these callouts, it’s the only hope for things to change.2 points

He is jumping on the band wagon to kick the team when they’re at their lowest. We need positivity, not negativity. The Sox are about the break a bad record. I’m not even clicking on the link.2 points

Getz has assembled a team magnitudes worse than the rebuilding teams, which were trying to be bad. It's worth remembering that no matter what bullshit Getz or Getz-sycophants say, last September and in the off-season, that dude was talking about trying to aim for a wildcard because of "the elephant in the room" that is how bad the AL Central is.2 points

A) It could be a situation where they're suddenly feeling validated. B) Before it would have sounded like whining. Now they're contributing to a long-running narrative of "oh, so they've been like this." C) Someone asked them.2 points

There isn’t a single thing he said in that article that isn’t incredibly easy to believe. Based on what we have all seen and heard, it all checks out. And we should all be furious this is how they have run things for this long.2 points

Zach DeChoach, swinging at absolute sh1t. Another wonderful acquisition by the worst GM in baseball.2 points

I seem to recall some player the Sox DFA’d that is better than Chad cool. Which is a very cool name by the way. By the way, why is the name “Chad” considered to be so kuhl? Where’d that come from? I have a cousin Chad who I love dearly but I don’t think society would describe his as “a Chad”. i digress but I don’t really care. I still think soroka is kinda good. I hope we are able to retain him for nothing.2 points

We're talking about 2 different situations. I agree that it's extremely unlikely for the Sox to move to another market. Yes, I don't see MLB approving it - certainly not in a way that undercuts expansion ambitions in some cities (Nashville). I'm in agreement that any hint of this from Jerry is almost certainly bluff to try to extort taxpayer money for a new park. My point was in reaction to some fans saying "let them move! MLB will certainly grant a new expansion team to Chicago". Those are two different things and I never said I thought MLB would okay a Sox move. What I'm saying is that *IF* the league lets the Sox move, I just don't see MLB bringing an expansion team to Chicago so people should stop fantasizing that particular scenario playing out. Of course, we don't get to the whole expansion question if MLB owners aren't going to approve a Sox move in the first place. So, it's really just a "If this, Then that" hypothetical and therefore basically a pointless argument since (thankfully) I don't think we'd get past that first hurdle of the league okaying a move. I mean, the league did approve the A's move, after that dragged on for years and they really do play in a dilapidated stadium and that just can't continue indefinitely....and even that's not exactly going smoothly. GRF isn't anywhere near close to that situation. Our problem is a dilapidated ownership, not a dilapidated stadium.2 points

If you look at my posts I always quote DVS of the Sun-Times. I forgot to do it this time, I apologize.2 points

From DVS Sun-Times story today: Moncada wants to play Third baseman Yoan Moncada wasn’t in the lineup a fourth consecutive game since finishing his rehab assignment, and he’s not sure when he’ll start in the last eight games. “I don’t know what the plan is,” Moncada said. “They don’t talk to me. I don’t know anything, really.” Asked if he’s unhappy about not playing, Moncada said, “Yeah, I’m here. I know it’s hard. It is what it is.” “It’s not easy,” Sizemore said. “And it’s not an indication of him as a player or anything like that. It’s just where we are at as an organization, what the priorities are.” Moncada entered as a pinch runner in extra innings of a 4-3 loss at the Angels on Wednesday, then struck out in his only at-bat. On Friday, Sizemore reiterated the team’s priority to play Bryan Ramos and Miguel Vargas, knowing Moncada likely won’t be with the Sox next season. “He’s taking it well,” Sizemore said. “I should probably still be talking to him more about what the plan is. But at the same time, we have to see what these guys have. We have limited games left to really evaluate them.”2 points

Signing Fisk and Luzinski was proof of that. Players from winning organizations were under more pressure. So often I've felt the Sox were mentally weak. More unclutch than clutch.2 points

Biggest myth in baseball. People still believe in the traditions of small market habitual losing organizations that it will eventually work. History is ignored. Sure you can bring up a team or two where it worked. It's almost a mental illness among fans and media. Getz has this hard on to be like the Royals. Mission accomplished. Now draft a Witt Jr. The last trade deadline revealed organizations are more stingy giving up their real prospects.1 point
