Wait, so you guys seriously dislike this? This is like the singular thing they’ve done right this year. They’re mocking the team and being funny.7 points

slight digs at the org by their social media people actually makes me like them more vs their straight corporate generic boilerplate that they used to tweet out6 points

The Fields meatballs already in full effect on Twitter cause he's 3-0. Pittsburgh is a well run organization. Always have been. Meanwhile Fields has only has one 300+ yard game in his career and Caleb did it in week 3 of his rookie year.5 points

Anyone saying this is "unprofessional" doesn't know how social media marketing works. This style is super common and gets a much larger reaction/audience. (Which is the total point of social media)4 points

I like to think that both "the Bears needed to move on from Fields and pick a QB with a higher ceiling than him", and "Fields was held back a bit by this joke of a franchise" are true.4 points

363 yards and 2 TDs for a rookie QB in his third game with zero running game, questionable play calling (OMG that 4th and goal call), and a porous offensive line. Downfield still an issue at times, but better today. First INT was awful. Second was a questionable throw but he hit Rome. Colts secondary isn't bad and made a play there - still think Rome had a chance on that one. Strip sack not his fault. Kmet shouldn't be blocking their first round defensive end on a slow developing play action. I'm trying to be encouraged by Williams' play overall and the somewhat competent offense shown at the end of the game. Hopefully that continues, but Eberflus is not a good head coach.4 points

The funny thing is the views on the tweets are off the charts since the switch was made. Whoever the new person posting is should get a raise. Just think what Lenyn Sosa could do next year with 600 plate appearance. --John Schriffen I'd rather not, John.3 points

Unprofessional? It's baseball. It's not serious. They're making light of a shitty situation. I'm sure it made the 28 people who actually read Sox Twitter laugh.3 points

I like the hires Getz is making, at least on the surface. Trades and player personnel is a whole different matter, but this seems like a good hiring.3 points

I don’t know how good it was in reality. I was led to believe it Herm was good because Hawk and Co would always be hyping him up on TV3 points

Ignoring the problems and being stubborn about things is what got them here.3 points

keep the s%*# storm media hurricane coming, maybe it'll make a difference out of pure embarrassment and public humiliation3 points

He won two world series immediately after leaving here and talks about he genuinely loved Chicago. He was also an all-star here. What jet fumes are you smoking today?3 points

Getz has assembled a team magnitudes worse than the rebuilding teams, which were trying to be bad. It's worth remembering that no matter what bullshit Getz or Getz-sycophants say, last September and in the off-season, that dude was talking about trying to aim for a wildcard because of "the elephant in the room" that is how bad the AL Central is.3 points

A) It could be a situation where they're suddenly feeling validated. B) Before it would have sounded like whining. Now they're contributing to a long-running narrative of "oh, so they've been like this." C) Someone asked them.3 points

There isn’t a single thing he said in that article that isn’t incredibly easy to believe. Based on what we have all seen and heard, it all checks out. And we should all be furious this is how they have run things for this long.3 points

Schultz out early-ish after giving up 2 runs on a pair of doubles, a single, and a sac fly in the 4th. His line ends up 3.1IP, 2ER, 4H, 1BB, 6K. He left with a 4-2 lead after Schoenle came in to strand his remaining runners. Schoenle stayed in for another 2 innings, not allowing a hit. 2.2IP, 0ER, 0H, 1BB, 3K for him. Top 7, the Barons got two RISP with a Veras single and Gladney double. Veras maybe scores if fully healthy, but he didn't test it. With two outs, the Biscuits walked Podkul to force a lefty lefty matchup with Gonzo at the plate. He made them pay: Barons are up 7-2 with 9 outs to get.2 points

Still marked safe from watching White Sox baseball. I'm only into the drama that's created. I think fans want different ownership more than anything. JR has a history of destroying a winning culture. If things improve he'll find a way to ruin it. I'm more sad than angry. For many I think it's a relationship beyond repair. He pretty much announced 2025 will suck.2 points

He had no idea about even doing it until they scored. You need to know before you score what you are gonna do2 points

What I am getting out of this is we all just need to be more positive about everything and it will all go away, the record will not happen, and everything will be great.2 points

With so many posters here playing characters it can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between an honest opinion and someone who just wants to push buttons.2 points

Yes, but for me, 2024 was the first time in over 40 years that I didn't attend one White Sox game. And for the past over 60 years, I was always at the two ballparks. But I see no reason to attend a game now. And there are many royal fans like me who are sick of this nonsense. They don't need to win for me to go back. Just show some life, and I see no life in this organization. Denial big time. Life, not so much.2 points

He wont sell, he needs to croak to get an ownership change. Sadly I have a bottle of champagne ready for the occasion.2 points

These hires will lead to better player personnel decisions. Another outsider brought in.2 points

The cognitive dissonance that you olds possess is truly insane. It's amazing how it extends to all aspects of your lives.2 points

I have no idea how any of this gets fixed, new ownership is the only salvation.2 points

It seems like the only way at this point. Shame Jerry to change or sell the team. Then the team can truly rebuild the right way. I hate that it had to come to this, we're gonna be in the history books forever. But if it really changes the way this team is run, it's worth it.2 points

You are probably right but given the shitshow the last week nationally and locally and given JR's age anything could happen between now and next season.2 points

Because the Chicago media is subservient dogs and it took this season and a few bitter talkers to get the outside media interested.2 points
