  1. Lynn is a complete overweight ass 🤡 and a miserable human being.

  2. Why did they describe this season as "120+ losses"...just say "121" Weird. and yes...thats all I'm taking away from this article.

  3. I wish, Chet....No, I am just an ordinary fan of the greatest baseball franchise of all time, The Brooklyn Dodgers The Chicago White Sox.....Great season ticket packages still available for 2025 See ya at the ballpark.

  4. Nobody worth a s%*# is taking the Sox job.

  5. Didn't the A's back in the early 70s have a bunch of guys who didn't get along and claimed it helped them to win? If Liam is on one side of a disagreement and Lynn is on the other, I don't have to know what the argument is about to know what side I'd support.

  6. When he was drafted, I was as big of Andrew Vaughn fan as there was. Everything I saw, everything I read , was so positive. This was a guy who made pitchers throw strikes. I was so excited. But he still misses pitches by 2 feet. His numbers are basically the same every year. If they keep him one more year, just in case, I'll get it, but it's probably time to move on.

  7. How exactly is Thome such a big upgrade? What has he done that makes him such a better interviewer? Is he bringing the big Jim AOL chats?

  8. Its a shame I was never given an interview for the GM job . I could turn this around and it wouldn't take 3-5 years. I would sign free agents Alonso, Soto and Santander this off season. That wouldn't be a bad start to turning this around.

  9. Lynn trade was fine. Hard to time young pitching...and imagine not getting into the playoffs in 2021...oof. Compared to hahn trying to fill RF with Nomar Mazara and then Adam Eaton, this is like acquiring Fernando Tatis Jr. for James Shields.

  10. Pretty sure Jay Cuda is about 30% of the White Sox analytics.

  11. Not at all surprising. And both guys can f*** off. Texas got 5.2 fwar out of dunnning so far. We got some cool yelling I guess.

  12. There is a pretty close to zero chance of the Sox gaining 30 to 35 wins next year.

  13. An interview process is a CLEAR upgrade.

  14. Yep. It's such a boring narrative. Plenty of good people would take this job. The problem is the Sox don't hire the right one.

  15. You have to enter your name into a lottery for the chance to buy tickets. I already entered and am having the whole family enter, since you can only enter once. They sold out multiple MLB stadiums this year, so tickets must be in high demand.

  17. Good for him. I hope he's fully healthy. Helluva manager. Probably a HoF baseball person.

  19. No idea how to evaluate this guy as a good or bad asset for the team. The pros: Healthiest player on the roster, remarkably consistent, seems like a good clubhouse guy. The cons: His ceiling apparently equals his floor, not enough power, no speed, 4 years in the majors now - he is what he is. I think he's fine to move forward with because of how bad we are, but he seems like every other White Sox asset - never quite good enough to be elite or even above average, never quite bad enough to be cut or traded. A middling talent. Also, his WAR was 0.2 this season mostly playing 1b/DH. Wins Over Replacement typically means replacing him with whoever comes up from the minors, right? I have hard time believing any player coming up would automatically hit 30 doubles and 19 home runs.

  20. I’m not sure it matters, I don’t expect whoever they hire to be around when they get good again.

  21. You are correct about the A's, they were united in their hatred of Charlie Finley the owner but also at times didn't get along with each other. One example was when they had a fistfight in the locker room before a game with the Tigers in the 1972 championship series.

  22. Any of those guys that talked s%*# after being shitcanned was, in my mind, a pretty obvious "cancer" and likely a major source of the dysfunction. I wrote in a post last year (when this was a timely discussion. IDK how Olney and friends got away with publishing this a year after the fact), but there was a stark difference in Giolito's and Lynn's reaction after leaving the 2023 White Sox. Giolito was thoughtful and professional, took personal accountability, Lynn blamed everybody else. It's like, you're 40-years-old, you're clearly dying your beard, it's time to grow up. Something tells me that was part of the reason Giolito signed a $40mil contract and Lynn signed a $10mil one.

  25. Seems the entire argument is predicated on them purportedly having had to be persuaded to attend a press conference. That’s a pretty flimsy premise to arrive at “bad teammate”

  27. They had reason to release him. Under the Chris Getz developmental program, he was 0-6 with a 15.92 ERA

  28. Meh. Dunning would be what for the Sox? Competition for Davis Martin in the middle of a rotation that's gonna lose 100 games? In the grander scheme of things, he's just a guy. I wish him well, but it's not Fernando Tatis Jr.

  29. I dunno. Hiring Tony La Russa in 2021 would seem to be a dumber decision.

  30. Well Lynn does seem like a total Total Douchebag

  31. They lost 1-0 and 2-1. They literally lost that series because of their hitting, or lack of. I agree that they don’t go far with the pitching they have but the reason they aren’t in the next round isn’t because of the pitching.

  34. Ungrateful jerk....weren't we the 1st franchise to give him the opportunity to manage in the minors? He should've come here at a discount.

  40. He's a 40 year old man trying to talk like a 16 or 17 year old. I honestly think he would be great at the hot dog eating contest. I had it on one year. It's beyond disgusting to watch, but the commentary is great. One guy was calling these dopes jamming 50 hot dogs down their gullets , the greatest athletes in the world. That's exactly what he would say.

  41. I didn’t think they even had 10 wins yet and he was acting like the Sox have the league on notice now lol

  42. Looks like Hyde is gonna get fired. Is he a slam dunk choice for the Sox? The O's finished 20 over .500. ... I'm glad the O's lost to make up for the playoff series where a better Sox team lost to the O's. Britt Burns tossed 9 scoreless innings but gave up a homer in the 10th to lose 3-0 and prohibit a game five in which the Sox would have won and advanced thanks to Cy Young winner Lamarr Hoyt. Instead we got beat because Dybber had a brain lapse on the basepaths. I think that year was biggest choke in Sox history. We were home and only had to muster one run to win game four then win it on a Sunday with Hoyt. Glad those bleep Orioles who were way better than KC got beat.

  43. If they elect not to keep AV, fine. But don’t turn around and give his $5-6M to 40 year old Carlos Santana or washed up Josh Bell. Just let Vargas play 1B.

  44. Tim Elko is a right handed bat, and had comparable numbers in AA and AAA to AV in the majors. And he’s like 8 months younger than AV. Tim Elko isn’t the answer. He also doesn’t even need to be added to the 40 man until Dec 2025. No reason pencil him in; he’ll likely get his chance next season anyway.

  46. If the choice for 1B is between Vaughn or Sheets, I take the "fire the GM" option.

  47. Vaughn has been basically the same for 3 years. If the choice is him or Sheets, I'd take him, but they both should probably go.

  48. This is gross and it makes me lose even more faith in the decision makers. Also, he's not worth whatever the under is either. $5 million is too much because he stinks. Would you pay Lenyn Sosa that much? I bet he'd produce similarly playing 1B with the same number of plate appearances. Yeah I'm pretty confident that it won't be Atlanta. They want position players. Why would he flippable? He sucks and nobody wants him.

  49. This is where Mr Pennywise has been extremely pound foolish. There are hundreds of millions of dollars in franchise valuation sitting on the sidelines because ownership refuses to wisely invest in this franchise instead letting the roof leak and the basement flood.
