You gotta be seriously invested in the role to complain about waiver claims.6 points

No fan has seen a home run until he/she sees a Dick Allen home run.3 points

It turns out that's Venable's house, Bochy got replica trophies made for the coaches after they won last year.2 points

Mine - Frank Bolon - sounds Bartolo Colon trying to go undercover after he disappeared on the White Sox to care for his secret family.2 points

One of the last interviews he ever did was with Paul Sullivan of the Tribune. In it Dick said if he ever got in he wanted to be wearing a White Sox cap.2 points

It's the one trait truly all the owners share in this town. No one is willing to be aggressive. They make moves only when they are forced to, not when it's simply the right thing to do. There isn't a single fan in this city that would have taken issue with Flus getting canned in the offseason, but they stuck by their guy, and we're seeing the results. Now they'll be forced to make a move when the win 7 games this season, and fall into the same trap every Bears team before them fell into, and wonder how it happened, or why it's not working.2 points

Ahhh, idk how the hell I forgot about Soto. Thought about Cole, but at his age I wavered.1 point

I mean he’s a goofy delivery middle reliever with under 3 years of service on a team with plenty of pen and 40 man openings. They must like him. If they find a better use of the roster spot later on this winter, he can always be DFA without any cost. Don’t see the harm.1 point
-
God yeah. They never churned over the bottom of the 40-man while you see teams like Tampa and Dodgers constantly churning and burning.1 point
-
If there is, you just DFA this guy. There is literally no harm in cycling through guys at the back of the 40 man. It’s something the previous regime was terrible at.1 point
-
Not sure if mentioned already, but he’s a converted position player, hence why so old for his lack of pitching experience.1 point

Decent K rate but otherwise his 2023 numbers look ugly. Was he down for TJS in 2024? Yup, missed 2024 for UCL Reconstruction. That makes this a little weird.1 point

His 2022 stats look solid. Every player on the field doesn't have to be 21. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/murfepe01.shtml1 point

They ran through so many pitchers last year. Also he was okay in 16 outings with the Mariners in 2023 before he had surgery last year.1 point

Haha, I totally forgot about Stassi....that was a terrific signing.1 point

I’d say Allen, John, and Parker should get in. I actually figured Tommy John was already in. His numbers plus inventing that surgery should be an automatic in.1 point

These committee votes are kind of a joke. It’s more about who is on the committee than the players themselves. I wish there was a one time meeting of a blue ribbon panel to decide yes or no on everyone under consideration, and either you get in then, or you are forever not considered. Stop playing with old men’s emotions—and their families too. More than anything, the Hall should be about getting guys in their 40’s in so they can enjoy it with their families and come back to Cooperstown each year.1 point

Ron "Pizza Man" Santo is in the HOF and Allen shouldn't be?1 point

Based on numbers Dick should have been admitted years ago when he was still alive. Twice he's missed induction by a single vote, hopefully the third time is a charm for his family.1 point

Poles has not accomplished much at all. He lucked into getting the #1 pick two years in a row. We are in year 3 of his rebuild and the playoffs this year seem like a distant pipedream. Next year will bring a whole new coaching staff for the Bears and their supposed generational quarterback. There are bound to be more bumps in the road as Caleb and company learn a whole new offense. Dude is looking more and more like Rick Hahn 2.0 with each passing day unfortuntaely.1 point

If they were going to take a long time couldn't they have done a real GM search instead of bumping up the guy that failed at development? I thought the entire point of this clown was to not take a long time. Fans don't owe Getz or even the organization in general their allegiance. I suspect a lot will be gone if and when they improve not to mention a generation of youngsters who will never grow up as Sox fans.1 point

my working assumption is lopez, sheets out. Lopez should have never been tendered last year.1 point

Even if Eder flames out, it was always the right call to trade Burger. He's a 0-1 WAR DH, for a team that was going to lose 100 games and then lost 121 the following season there was no reason at all to keep him at his peak value.1 point

Another guy I would like to see them target is Ben Rice. The Yankees have a ton of decisions to make this off season and if they decide to go a different direction at 1B Rice could be this years Michael Busch. The Sox tried like hell to get Busch last year but they didn't have the prospects to get a deal done. This year they have much better depth in the minors and could easily get a deal done for a much needed left handed power bat.1 point

This is the incompetent, dysfunctional and inept White Sox organization. Never say never.1 point

I was coached well in creative writing classes.Plus my daddy taught me how to recognize BS. Caulfield is a nice man who takes way more abuse than he should. I don't like people whose sense of humor revolves around making fun of others. It's wolfpack bullying garbage. The one time I got suspended on here was sticking up for a guy I thought was being picked on . Which was ironic being suspended because I felt compelled to agressively defend someone who was being aggressively maligned which is allowed but being an aggressive good Samaritan was not allowed.1 point
