  1. How big is that run that Leury should of scored on now
  2. This would be a good time for his 2nd hit of the season
  3. I would part with Vaughn for the right young and controllable piece (SP, RF or SS as preferred positions). I wouldn't use the word disposable though. You have to give to get.
  4. This team really could explode next year with the right off-season moves. Several players look primed to go nuts.
  5. It was a tough on the move throw, but as usual Anderson's accuracy on tough throws is horrible.
  6. 10 in a row for Cease. I love it. He's going to be awesome someday.
  7. Didn't you just freak out about Moncada a couple days ago...both here and on HF? lol
  8. Cease is killing it so far
  9. I would bet Madigral would be an improvement. But we'll never know one way or another most likely. I do know the Sox need to address these defensive deficiencies. You can't just cross your fingers and hope that these errors will go away eventually.
  10. Tim led MLB shortstops in errors in 2017 (the next worse guy had 8 less errors), was tied for 2nd worst in 2018, and leads right now in 2019 (Polanco is 2nd with 5 less errors). We can safely say he leads MLB in errors at shortstop over the last 3 years by a country mile and isn't showing any signs of improvement. Yes he has great range and makes some really nice plays. But the errors are just too much. I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise at this point.
  11. Maybe look in to trade options, and I think they might need to do that even if they just try to fill RF conventionally. Do they want to consider Nick Madigral at short? I know they initially said he would play both positions. The 'yeah right' part of me says sign Anthony Rendon, move Moncada back to 2nd and Madigral plays short. But I'll awake from that dream heh. But there's a lot of ways to skin the cat.
  12. If the Sox signed Castellanos to play RF, they'd have 3 positions locked up with one of the worst defenders in baseball (SS, RF and LF). As crazy as it sounds, that's why I suggested Tim Anderson. Kill two birds with one stone. He's very athletic and has a strong arm, and probably would be a good right fielder. And then hopefully you can upgrade the defense at SS.
  13. I'll throw a curve here. Since he;'s been pretty bad this year at short...how about Tim Anderson? Then the Sox can hunt down a shortstop. Having one of the worst defensive shortstops in baseball isn't a good way to move towards being a World Series contender.
  14. You're over-reacting. He's had a few injuries, and all guys have slumps. He's taken huge steps forward this year and we should be nothing but happy about that.
  15. Interesting seeing Robert hitting .302 and Madigral hitting .303. Can't wait to see these guys next year.
  16. If the Sox off-season goes anything like this, then that would be depressing. The free agent class in 2021 is terrible. They need to load up this winter, not go bargain basement hunting. There's no excuse to not bring in a big name pitcher, whether it's via free agency or trade.
