  1. Calling Gavin Sheets a lefty bench bat and Julks a short side platoon corner OF isn't "praising". Again, you interpret people ignoring or not agreeing with your constant trolling as "praising" or fellating baseball players. I'm coming to the opinion that you're some sort of neurodivergent, and feel emasculated by somebody not praising you for your nonsense. You could solve a lot of this with 45 minutes a week talking to a professional instead of .... this.
  2. Boras complimented the White Sox' handling of Rodon's MLB debut, while criticizing the Cubs' handling of Kris Bryant.
  3. I really have no idea what you're crowing about at this point. Has Canaan Smith-Njigba withdrawn his restraining order?
  4. No, MLB average OPS was what I stated (.709), at the time. Corey Julks walked in a single PA on 7/20, and brought his OPS up to .699. Gavin Sheets just registered a 1-4 on July 14th that had him sitting with a .693 OPS. What I said was factually correct, and not really all that "out there".
  5. 2015 OD 2B. Whoops, did a name meld with Marcus Semien.
  6. Marcus Johnson and Jacob May, OD starters. I believe that Getz left the possibility open for Monty to blow AAA away, and move either DeJong or Lopez to the bench upon promotion. Monty did not blow away AAA, and he spent the entire season at AAA, which was the right and logical set of events. Pro athletes are such competitive beings, it often ruins their lives. I would expect a guy who just OPSed .810 at AAA to set his sights on the next goal. Nobody's handing it to him, and nobody's installing an aging veteran to block him.
  7. Are you insinuating the White Sox were lying to Crochet, trying to trade him while he believed he was going to finish the season with the Sox? The Skenes situation mirrors the way the White Sox brought up Rodon. I know that front office is gone, but apparently, the director of development made all the decisions for the Sox, even when he was in Kansas City, so that still probably holds.
  8. No term is derogatory enough for them.
  9. I think the original gist was conservative dude who was too misogynist for women to even want to be around.
  10. Involuntarily Celibate. Can't get a girlfriend.
  11. The only way I see Benny moving before October 2027 is if he continues his strong 2024 2nd half into 2026, and even then, only if the White Sox eat some of the remaining money.
  12. Maldonado and Lopez were eventually pushed aside, or saw less playing time. Nobody was really ready to supplant DeJong at SS.
  13. I sure hope you find somebody to pay attention to you like you pay attention to my innocuous opinions from last year. LOL. I'm not sure how calling Sheets a lefty bench bat or Julks a short half of a platoon is unreasonable, but you do you.
  14. If a sports writer actually "reported" a push to move Benny, even in a Crochet trade, I'd call that smoke. That doesn't seem like something somebody would make up, like so many trade rumors. However, it does feel like Getz thought there'd be more desperate interest in acquiring Crochet at the deadline, and could have floated multiple ideas, none of which came to fruition. That doesn't say to me that "Getz is definitely trying to package Benny with Crochet", but that doesn't make it clear he wasn't. I tend to see admins flogging the package rumor as them trying to whip up comments.
  15. Yes, please, post more of my reasonable takes to pretend you're making a sick burn. LOL.
  16. You keep trying to argue straw men. I hope you win those arguments with whomever is making them.
  17. You're the one who has to post a picture of Baghdad Bob when a comment string gets above your head.
  18. Not once they feel they have the ability to develop it in their prospects, no. And in the lost season of 2023, why give a month's worth of reps to Zavala instead of seeing what they just acquired in Lee? Zavala's a backup catcher. Multiple teams have moved on from him in order to facilitate another roster move. It's really not that hard to understand.
  19. Nope. I never said "Zavala was a solid success". The convo was hidden because multiple admins were so owned they wept. I will type this slowly. Zavala's defensive advancement was an example of the White Sox' new ability to develop the defensive side of a catcher's game. They released Zavala in September to get Lee reps.
  20. Zavala? He's a back-up catcher. It's nice if your back-up catcher can hit you 2 dingers in a spot start.
  21. "SoxFest Live" really isn't much of a rename. That's kind calling it ZoxFeZt, and claiming they renamed it.
  22. Sure, the Sox eschewed the coaching of framing up until relatively recently. Flowers was lambasted by the front office for letting his hitting fall off, even though he was to become one of the better framers in the game. I believe Grandal was an acknowledgement of the value of framing. I was roundly mocked for suggesting that Seby Zavala was an example of the new Sox approach to the development of the defensive side of the game for catchers.
  23. I don't see this posted previously - Elijah Evans at Just Baseball posted 5 Crochet trade spitballs: https://www.justbaseball.com/mlb/5-mlb-trade-offers-the-white-sox-would-take-for-garrett-crochet/
