  1. Sox Notes at SoxMachine: https://soxmachine.com/2024/06/pregame-notes-garrett-crochet-might-have-already-thrown-his-longest-start-of-2024/ TLDR: * Cannon rules out tipping * Benintendi probably looking at platoon * Flexen owns Ohtani
  2. Please let me know if I'm taking this away from anyone. lineups 2nd City https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_alumni_of_the_Second_City Groundlings https://groundlings.com/performers/alumni
  3. Wow, it's possible for a manager to not have the answers, and still inspire confidence with his words: ⁦@FutureSox⁩ pic.twitter.com/7kb07PJrkv
  4. Or Keuchel's paying to hang out and talk baseball.
  5. Ryan Ripken has a YouTube channel. Doesn't really talk about what he can bring back, but generally talks up Fedde's case as a top trade target
  6. Everybody's saying the same thing: White sox will be the most active at deadline.
  7. Why would the Royals take on Benintendi? He's untradeable with 3 full years left on his deal. Trading Leasure right now is selling low. The only way they bite is, like, Benintendi, Leasure, and a lot of money for Marcus Nobody, 37-y-o utility infielder in rookie ball.

  11. Personally, I don't think the Pirates have what it takes to get Robert.
  12. They're not getting shut out once a series anymore.
  13. No. I don't think they're going to set that record.
  14. They're not doing anything next year. If Benintendi can put up a passable .700-.750 OPS, DH him.
  15. Just refigure. Only shut out once in the last 39 games. I don't think they're going to set the record for times shut out.
  16. I think that Crochet can power through and do his 120-150 innings, if that's what his trading team needs. It's how that affects him next year that is important. It's possible he scuffles most of next year recovering from the initial shock of this year's work load. And it's possible he doesn't. He doesn't have the mileage on his arm that would be expected of someone in the bigs since 21.
  17. Boy, that's a whole article for TLR to dispel the notion that he's a decision maker. Thou dost protest too much?
  18. I'm just really about people throwing around names, at this point. Curious what other teams' fans would think appropriate.
