  1. I seriously wonder if they'd move Eloy for "anything" short of cash considerations. They'd save about $7.5 million, and with a Pham trade, maybe Sheets, they conceivably open 2 spots in the order to look at DeLoach/Colas/Fletcher/Julks.
  2. Peg Entwistle https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2014/10/hollywood-sign-haunted Resurrection Mary https://www.chicagohistory.org/resurrection-mary/
  3. What is it you're grading, here? Shirley's first draft was 2020.
  4. His 2023 numbers at AA didn't look like he was a break-out in the majors candidate, and besides, he was blocked by Yoan and Vaughn. oops
  5. Unfortunately, idiot blogger trade proposals are probably all that will be bouncing around out there at least until after the draft.
  6. Blogger makes up Crochet to Mets proposal https://fansided.com/posts/2-trades-to-save-mets-playoff-hopes-before-it-s-too-late
  7. I don't even fault them for rushing him or Yoan back. Maybe they'll go on a hot streak, and somebody takes them, or they put up any offense to justify their contracts.
  8. One of my favorite things about marriage is when we start arguing about the actual argument that we're in.
  9. For 5 years, Orioles drafted first, overall, twice, and had the 2nd pick in one draft. There's a little more room for error when you're getting two2 1st rounders and/or twp 2nd rounders every year. Mike Shirley is doing a much better job than Hostetler, and my wild conspiracy theory is that the Sox have done better picking later because the honchos didn't care about making the 22nd and 26th picks and let Shirley do his job. But in the top ten, JR, KW and Hahn all wanted their thumb prints on that top pick. We'll see how Getz does in three weeks.
  10. Elias has built up their farm system to be able to continuously pump out position players. Jury's still out on whether ours can.
  11. Sure. But for some reason, they're either trying to get their money's worth, or hoping he can find his swing, and even get to the point of an exchange of bad contracts. I have this wild thought that they'll get through the TDL, then Benny maybe starts once or twice a week in the last 2 months.
  12. I'd actually be more comfortable with a TLR suggestion at manager than picking at the Royal brain trust.
  13. Once Shuster got rid of all those annoying runners on the bases, he was able to do some good work.
  14. One of the few moves I didn't like when it happened, and something inside me dies every game I see him in the lineup.
