  1. Yep. Sometimes collisions are unavoidable, even with guys who know how to call for the ball. If the ball is in a perfect spot where nobody can get to it without sliding/diving, then nobody is going to call it. It’s just an unfortunate situation sometimes.
  2. That’s probably because you watch more White Sox than any other team. It’s similar to how every fan base thinks they are the worst in the league at getting runners home from third with less than two outs.
  3. I hate Tony and want him gone ASAP, but I can’t believe people are blaming the coaching staff for that collision. Give me a fucking break. Do you want the coaches to hold meetings or practices and teach the guys how to call for the ball? That’s little league stuff. If you can’t communicate by the time you are in the major leagues, practices/meetings aren’t going to help.
  4. You have my favorite avatar on this forum. Love it!
  5. Who would have pitched the 9th then? Also, it was the bottom three guys in the order for Toronto in the 8th. You wanted to use your best option in the 8th and then have somebody else face the top in the 9th?
  6. What were odds that Engel would get intentionally walked in the 12th inning of the game tonight? ?
  7. What a large fucking win. Down 2 runs with two outs and nobody on against one of the best closers in the game, and we got it done.
  8. Can’t believe Haseley is about to hit a walk off two run bomb.
  9. That’s why I said the lead off walk was not ideal. But he made good pitches after that and got EXTREMELY unlucky. And he had the second guy struck out, based on what this ump has been calling all game. I understand the frustration. And I think it’s human nature to try to place blame when things go wrong, but I don’t believe Martin or Tony’s decision to put Martin in are blame worthy. P.S. I want Tony gone. Get him the fuck out of here.
  10. And then pitched great against the next three batters (not counting the bunt).
  11. I don't even understand why this is a conversation. Martin pitched well! He did his job and got really unlucky on three ridiculous hits.
  12. The lead off walk was not ideal, but Martin pitched great. I’m serious. Made fantastic pitches.
  13. That was the worst ball/strike call of the year. It’s even worse than the missed strike on Lynn’s pitch last night because at least with that one, the catcher was rising up to throw down to second.
  14. What if both starting pitchers go 6 innings? Does that mean, by default, the home team has to go to their bullpen first?
  15. Grandal? Sheets? Madrigal? (Sorry, that was three guesses)
  16. Well yeah, Mendick won’t be Moncada caliber at 3B. But I was simply responding to the suggestion of Harrison at 3B and Mendick at 2B. I’d rather keep Harrison where he has been great defensively.
  17. If he has an arm to play SS, he has an arm to play 3B.
  18. Why not leave Harrison at 2B and have Mendick play 3B?
  19. Here’s a link to the other thread. And perhaps a mod can move your post/question there
  20. I’ve spent all morning thinking of a good strategy for these next two games, and I think I have it: Win both and sweep these f*cks.
