  1. Hendriks’ fastball was a little out and up (but still a strike for sure), and Burr’s was a slider right down the middle. Neither was a fastball down the middle.
  2. Baseball is weird. If Pollock doesn’t hit that home run, we likely win this game in regulation.
  3. What’s your definition of “single handedly”? In one game, Burger drew a huge BB. Then Engel had a big double, and Leury hit a rocket for a sac fly. Then we scored some runs in extras without the help of Burger. So maybe by “single handedly”, you meant one of five or six guys that contributed on the offensive side.
  4. That road trip was so awesome.. I feel like we ended a game or two by getting out of a big jam (maybe a double play to end the game with the tying run on third?)
  5. You know I have to bump this! Way to get that sweep, fellas. Keep it rolling.
  6. The original “concerned” thread.
  7. In before somebody says “It was an 8 game losing streak, not a 3 game losing streak”… And then somebody counters with “Yeah, but the thread was made when we had only lost 3 in a row”… And then somebody counters that with “Yeah, but the signs were all there. You could tell things were going south.”
  8. Boston just needed their closer in a game started by Pivetta. You never know.
  9. I wonder the MLB record is for longest winning streak where a single closer got a save in all of them.
  10. Burger, Engel, and Leury all with huge at bats in the 9th. Well done, fellas.
  11. Moncada will help, Vaughn will help, Eloy will help, and the weather will help. This is definitely not what they are offensively.
  12. Gavin Sheets hits one out today. Let’s win the series.
  13. Guarantee that if we offered Rodon the QO and he accepted, and then he got injured in April, @Two-Gun Pete would be blaming the front office for throwing ~20 million at a guy with a very extensive history of arm troubles.
  14. Tony on fire in this thread. Thank you.
  15. I don't know why, but this part of your post is cracking me up. The way you said "driving around" (instead of driving home) makes it sound like you just got in your car to drive around and have some deep thoughts about TLR and Rick Hahn.
  16. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this site. And that's saying a lot.
  17. Sign him to a one year deal with a salary of (2 + 1.5H) million, where H is number of home runs he hits in April.
  18. This might be the best Cease has looked to start a game. Complete command of everything.
  19. Did this conversation really just happen? JB: Do you think the walks are a product of giving up so many hits last time out? SS: Maybe for a younger pitcher, but not for a veteran like Dallas. JB: He’s missed a lot down tonight. Why do you think that is? SS: Could be a product of giving up so many hits last time out.
  20. How about the “Way Too Early” power rankings released in November of the previous year?
  21. Just popping in to say we’re still going to win this game. Book it.
  22. What is a person called if they don’t like a player and they make sure to post about it incessantly to drive the point home? Hypothetically, of course.
  23. Thanks. I think 130 starts and 140 games played is a reasonable expectation this year (assuming he is healthy all year, obviously).
  24. What's the best way to look up how many starts a player has? I'm curious how many of Vaughn's 127 games played last year were starts.
