  1. Thank you. Can it be a white gummy bear? Or maybe even a red/green combo gummy worm?
  2. I’d just like to point out that I called a series win when most people here were hoping for one out of three. Let’s keep it rolling!
  3. Yes sir! Big win. P.S. Have you ever had a “winner” post typed up ready to submit, and then we lost? Perhaps the blown game to Cleveland earlier this year?
  4. Did the Red Sox pay off the prospect ranking websites as well? And did they then also secretly pay Moncada some extra money to pretend he was good with those 4 and 5 win seasons?
  5. This vaguely rings a bell, but I can’t find any confirmation of that. I did find an article from February that didn’t mention anything about retiring. Can you confirm, @Y2Jimmy0?
  6. Sosa and Bryce Bush were two of my favorite prospects back in early 2019. What happened to Bush this year?
  7. I’m glad we’ll be heading into that Boston series over .500. Hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling against the Bo Sox.
  8. Do you play all of them in game 2 also? I think he wants to rest guys that have been on the IL. Resting Moncada is understandable I guess, but I'd probably play Vaughn both games.
  9. I am by no means trying to defend TLR here because some of his lineups are ridiculous, but when that many guys have bad numbers, it's on the players. Any lineup you put out there will have a handful of guys with horrible numbers because we have been horrible offensively this year.
  10. That stat is always misleading because the quality of the player on the IL means so much. Now, I have no clue who the Dodgers have been without, so perhaps they have missed some games from pretty important players as well. But missing Lynn, Giolito, Moncada, Vaughn, and Eloy has really hurt. Is there a stat that exists that takes WAR/162 from the previous season or the previous few seasons and multiplies it by the games missed due to IL for each player? To me, that would paint a much more accurate picture of who has been hurt the most by injuries.
  11. If you want to know what the Sox could have gotten for Rodon, you need to specify the exact point in time you are referring to. Trade value is all about years of control, health, and performance. All three of those things varied greatly over the course of Rodon's tenure with the Sox. So if you want to know what Rodon is worth, which point in time are you asking about?
  12. 13 of the 16 wins have been close games (1-3 runs).
  13. Hey, let’s not exaggerate! We won’t hit the 20% mark until the bottom of the 4th inning of Sunday’s game.
  14. Hendriks’ fastball was a little out and up (but still a strike for sure), and Burr’s was a slider right down the middle. Neither was a fastball down the middle.
  15. Baseball is weird. If Pollock doesn’t hit that home run, we likely win this game in regulation.
  16. What’s your definition of “single handedly”? In one game, Burger drew a huge BB. Then Engel had a big double, and Leury hit a rocket for a sac fly. Then we scored some runs in extras without the help of Burger. So maybe by “single handedly”, you meant one of five or six guys that contributed on the offensive side.
  17. That road trip was so awesome.. I feel like we ended a game or two by getting out of a big jam (maybe a double play to end the game with the tying run on third?)
  18. You know I have to bump this! Way to get that sweep, fellas. Keep it rolling.
  19. The original “concerned” thread.
  20. In before somebody says “It was an 8 game losing streak, not a 3 game losing streak”… And then somebody counters with “Yeah, but the thread was made when we had only lost 3 in a row”… And then somebody counters that with “Yeah, but the signs were all there. You could tell things were going south.”
  21. Boston just needed their closer in a game started by Pivetta. You never know.
  22. I wonder the MLB record is for longest winning streak where a single closer got a save in all of them.
  23. Burger, Engel, and Leury all with huge at bats in the 9th. Well done, fellas.
  24. Moncada will help, Vaughn will help, Eloy will help, and the weather will help. This is definitely not what they are offensively.
