The whole Cub thingy has really lost its mojo since MMXVI. Not to worry.

I picked up baseball in the early 60's as a Tiger fan. The Sox were the only game in town. The Cubs played summer day games on Channel 9 and had Joey Amalfitano. They had a run of bad years while the Sox were chasing the Yanks.

I strongly feel minor leaguers should be paid fairly and provided housing. The money in baseball makes this obscene. I see a parallel with our economy in general.

Another week and they will be buried far behind the Crew. If they get swept this weekend the vultures will swoop down on Joe. This the downside of big money baseball.
