If the Sox are not jinxed they might as well be. The past ten years have been rough. I always say I just want to see some good baseball and we had some for two weeks. The Sox really need a manager with his own personality and identity but the Sox don't want that. It is not a healthy org and they are in denial. They might make .500 next year with a little luck.

At minimum they need a vet SP and quality 3B. Abreu and Palka for sure in my lineup. Avi is on the buble.

He may be better than our whole lineup. Imagine him with GRF as home park.

Next year if there is no room for Davidson and goofy Yolmer is on the bench things will be better. Time to put bigfoot on ignore.

Trout could be Barry Bonds hitting in Chicago. We need more contact hitters duh.

Not a lot of progress with the rebuild. Our keystone combo is trending up. I suppose they could sign a vet SP to steady the rotation. Not good to rush the other young arms.

Is it possible too many pitchers are throwing too hard? Sounds simplistic but how is it we have so many hard throwers in recent years. Something has to give. This reminds me of Strasburg not long after his debut.

I don't see mgt changes in the cards and I don't see big name FAs coming on board. We are kind of a wayside franchise that will try and improve incrementally in our own discreet way. I do prefer playing for wins.

I had major hernia surgery and was on the bike trail five days later. I knew his was in a sensitive spot since they were kind of vague.

Merlin says the Sox plan to activate him after a few appearances so perhaps he is hearing something different. I thought it sounded a little curious. When a pitcher goes through 2-3 years of injury it may be time to move on.
