I saw this a half hour ago when it broke on MLB Network. My jaw dropped. I had just watched him pitch over the weekend vs Oakland. Only 27 years old and now leaves his young wife behind as a widow. Horrible. Reports are now surfacing that he was "found" dead. So, it sounds like something in his sleep... heart attack, brain hemorrhage, etc. Probably was nowhere to found all morning before the team had the hotel do a wellness check. The Angels manager said in a 4 PM CT presser they received word of his death at 2:30 CT. I would presume he was pronounced dead just prior to that. That's all the information the public has at this point.

The team was already in meltdown mode and had fallen to .500. James or no James... same shit. I mean, the reason we traded for James was because our rotation needed help.

I would say that the odds of them sending Q back here for peanuts (at least relative to what they gave up) are practically non-existent. I cannot possibly think of a time that a front office just publicly admitted being fleeced so badly that they gave the guy back over to his original team.

Leury Garcia is a good stop-gap, lead-off hitter on a rebuilding team like the White Sox. Is a serviceable hitter with good speed and can play a multitude of positions well. On any team worth their salt, he's an ideal utility man and nothing more. He's fine for now.

No, that's correct. He was 1 for 35 when he got sent down. He started the season 0 for 34 and got a hit on his last AB, of his final day up with the White Sox before being sent to Charlotte.

Kelvin Herrera should only be used if the game is 5+ runs out of reach for either team until he proves otherwise. It's so bad...
