I called that out-loud to my buddy when stood up straight all stiff legged to fire that
-
Well... that was fun
-
He is the same gas can we all knew he was before that little run... Sorry, but I have officially abandoned the "Dylan Covey is intriguing" ship.
-
Palka just obliterates baseballs. It's fun to watch him hit and be sitting there anticipating that kind of contact. Even if he's still got a ways to go.
-
Came through huge the last two nights as well

YOAN Getting it going!
-
YEAH!
-
Wow... those 2 strike numbers for Yoan
-
Timmy nearly to 20 stolen bags 20/20 should be a breeze if he stays healthy. 30/30 within his sights if the power gets going again
-
Yeah, he's been grooving lately. His numbers are getting quite respectable.
-
Timmy is being very animated out there. Having some fun. Good to see

If Dylan has another rough outing -- any buzz about him is officially over. However, it's been a nice start here.

Irrational fondness of a player who completely sucks
Richie replied to Jack Parkman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I am more that way with football players. Especially QB's who are dismissed after a tough start. Like... I still pull hard for Blake Bortles because I liked him out of UCF. That kind of a thing. lol I am less that way with baseball. I think it's just the fact that there's already so much failure involved. Even with a succeeding player. Then, you force me to watch a failing player just stink... it's a lot to absorb. -
Well, technically he could have gotten out the fastest if he served up a home run ball on the first pitch of his appearance to Peraza. ? Kidding, of course
-
I like him. Would never have been a top choice, but he's solid and likeable. Plus, he should only improve.
-
Lol... Jeez Santiago.

This thread is a great example of how we all hang on every Yoan AB to evaluate him. lol First half of the thread is saying he might have to be optioned to AAA and the second half is basically saying that tonight is his breakout. Gotta love it. Just good to see these last couple nights go the right way for him.
-
That's still true. Most still aren't up...
-
Good technique there, Yoan
-
Another good day for Yoan. Hopefully he keeps it up.

I'll chime in with a "hope we stick with Avi" post... unless, of course, the haul was unexpectedly fantastic. Avi is still young enough to in his prime during our competitive window and seems to only be getting better the last two years. I wouldn't be upset if we dealt him, though. I get it. Soria setting himself up to be a real nice chip, BTW.

Avi is out of his mind right now.

If you really want to reflect on what a bizzaro world it was in the aftermath of 05 compared to now. I very clearly remember an ongoing topic on The Score and other local sports media through the first half of 2006. We got off to a very nice start following our title -- as the Cubs were well on their way to a last place finish. The local pundits would regularly be discussing "Here's why the White Sox are so much better as an organization" and "What can the Cubs do to be more like the White Sox?"... "How can the Cubs get their heads out of their asses and be more like that team on the southside!?" That is a memory which pops into my head every once in a while and I laugh. How a decade can change things... man, oh man.

Well thank you, sir And likewise
