Realistically though, if RH got JR to shell out that 13 year 325m deal or whatever it was, there wouldn't be money in the "budget" for all the extensions to the young talent.

Joc could be had for cheap right now and his xWOBA is .350. I realize Hahn has said he isn't looking for rentals but if the compensation is low, it doesnt really cost us much and we could see how he fits in with our guys before deciding whether to offer him an extension later.

16-11 is terrific considering like half of the rest of our games are against the absolute dregs of the league. Chicago can absolutely win the division.
