  1. I'm very fearful now. Do not part with a single LH savage or Vera. No way in hell.
  2. Sox didn't want to bring Vaughn up immediately, they were forced into it due to Jimenez injury and lost a year of service time because of it. There's no reason to burn a year of Colas service time on a garbage team that isn't going anywhere. We can wait until next season so we can preserve the 6.5 years.
  3. If they dump them then it means order has been restored in terms of the line of authority.
  4. I'm perfectly good with moving Cueto, Abreu, Graveman and Lopez. Also move Burger out as well. I wouldn't move Vaughn though. He's the 1B of the future and has 4.5 years of control left. I dont think we will have a 1B/DH logjam after this year. Vaughn will be the 1B and Jimenez the DH. Colas can slide into RF next year so we won't have statues playing there anymore.
  5. Yeah and in fairness, I don't think the issue is the FO. Its JR and TLR who have the power and they aren't invested in the long term at this point so they don't give a damn about a second window. Therefore, I could easily seeing them get rid of savage talents to chase a title that will not happen this year no matter what.
  6. This. Plus Vera. Savages cannot be moved. We're not going to rob Peter to pay Paul when Paul is a mediocre .500 team that will get wrecked in the playoffs by NYY or HOU regardless of who we add. Sell high on Cueto.
  7. OMG...he's had like 5 in what 7-8 games that's incredible. FO will have a tough time getting that extra year of service time at this pace. If this dude can be a 25+ HR guy in the majors from the left side with a howitzer of an arm in RF it would solve so many problems. If Hahn trades him or Montgomery, someone should put his dick in a blender and press start.
  8. You can't stop savagery, you can only hope to contain it.
  9. Good point. The wrist issue no doubt sapped some power for awhile. Now that he's more fully recovered and also apparently made a swing adjustment, his savagery is on full display.
  10. Cease will not resign because of Boras. Anderson will be 32 during his first full FA season and has been probably fuming due to his super cheap deal and will want to get majorly paid. Makes no sense to do that given aging curves and Montgomery (assuming he sticks at SS). Vaughn is a possibility for extension if Jose retires.
  11. So OPS of 1.075 then? Fine. Savage.
  12. Ahh my bad. Are JR and TLR gonna be here for those 2.5 years tho?
  13. Again the question presented isn't whether Juan Soto's otherworldly left handed savagery is superior to Oscar Colas burgeoning left handed savagery, it obviously is and its not even close. But that's a red herring. The real issue is if you had a cheap team that is also run so poorly that no matter who is on the club the odds are very high that they still wouldn't win a title, would u still trade 6.5 years of Colas for 1.5 years of Soto? To me, the answer is no. And I don't think it's being overly negative to say there is no way these clowns (the org) will win a title, no matter who they add at the deadline. I dont have to remind you that our owner and his handpicked douchebag manager, in their endless wisdom, promptly turned an electric blue Lamborghini into a 1988 Toyota Tercel and then to add insult to injury jerked off onto the windshield and then proceeded to drive the car into a lake. But adding Soto would win us a title though, right?
  14. Not just no, but hell no. Were not winning shit with TLR at the helm and since he's apparently going nowhere there's no need to waste 6.5 years of left handed savagery for nothing. They punted this window when JR stopped taking his meds and hijacked the immediate window. Let's not compound the problem.
  15. There's no reason he should be in low A at this point. He's clowning hitters.
  16. Could this young savage be in AAA by the end of the year?
  17. Ofcourse we arent beating Houston, NY or the Dodgers. We arent even beating Toronto in a series. None of this means fans arent justifiably pissed. It isnt a personal vendetta. Its a legit grievance. Since we are talking facts, it's an irrefutable fact the team claimed we would have a legit championship window when the team and payroll was absolute trash for years. Yet, the odds are this "window" will go by the wayside without even one playoff series win, much less a pennant or WS. It isn't a vendetta. We suffered through years of hell and justifiably are expecting a reward and people can see we aren't even a far cry from a single championship much less "multiple championships". We aren't getting jack shit. Having a fucking dinosaur hijack the entire power structure isn't what I signed up for. Going into a "window" without even one fucking legit LH monster savage isn't what I signed up for. Blowing our wad on stupid relievers and therefore having to fill real holes with plastic, scotch tape and bubble gum isn't what I signed up for. People are justifiably pissed at being lied to.
  18. It would also make him be more likely to get ruined...like Crochet.
  19. I really hope this little winning streak doesn't save him. I bet JR is going to use it as an excuse to tell the FO to stay the course. FML
  20. This isn't necessarily good for us, as doesn't this suggest MIN is a candidate for positive regression for the rest of the season?
  21. Yes, but what about from Tony's point of view? He's the one holding the power and he doesn't give a damn about the long term.
