  1. Wouldn't surprise me (although wouldn't delight me either) if Dunning pulled today and is heading to Texas
  2. Hoping our combined mojo pays off. Fingers crossed.
  3. Should here if Lynn is scrathed from his start tonight soon
  4. There is zero chance Milwaukee trades 2 all-star pitchers for a package of prospects.
  5. I can see him as a top starter but can also see him as a soap opera with reliever risk. Ideally, we can nab Lynn w/o giving up Dunning or Kopech. Maybe something like Lopez, Collins, Steiver and Pilkington.
  6. Starting to feel like trade winds are real. Hoping for Lynn and prefer sending Kopech (vs. Dunning). Isn't Kopech from Tx. ?
  7. Hurt a lot. Hasn't lived up to big contract he signed. Don't see him as an upgrade. I'd pass.
  8. I'm expecting a nothing burger at deadline, which might be okay. Too many teams still believe they have a chance, so few sellers and not many obvious fits. I'd make a run at Lynn and dangle Kopech (I'm less sanguine about Kopech than most here) and also try to improve RF situation but both areas might be better addressed in offseason.
  9. Probably some redundancy w/Bummer but definitely adds flexibility. Agreed Brewers will ask for the moon.
  10. Just for giggles, can a case be made for Josh Hader? 3 + years of arb. control, maybe a guy who can give us 2+ lockdown innings in POs...maybe key piece of an opener approach...i.e. Cease-Foster-Hader-?
  11. Why is DeGrom being mentioned as a trade target? Why would the Mets move him?
  12. some converging dynamics for Hahn/KW... 1) Sox just might be good enough to win it all this year, especially with the right addition(s) 2) Cubs might be good enough to win it all this year, especially if Darvish can keep pitching like Cy Young...does this add any incentive/urgency to go for? 3) Even if we add Lynn, is our BP to be trusted w/o Bummer? Is Colome the answer?
  13. I see Bummers recovery as directly related to trade activity. If we don't believe he is able to come back strong for PO run, I'd be less inclined to push in all the chips for 2020 but I would still dangle Kopech to Texas.
  14. Baseball Trade Values has Lynn and Kopech pretty much equal value. Adding Madrigal makes it too rich but it will likely be a competitive situation (NYY, Dodgers, Braves, etc.). If Kopech is untouchable I doubt we can compete, but Kopech alone doesn't get it done. Personally, I'm not as high on Kopech as others here and I would include him with maybe Collins as a sweetener.
  15. I might be wrong but I'd be surprised if there was a strong market for Madrigal. I can't see him headlining a package for a top tier starting pitcher.
  16. Quite possible Rodon rebuilds value by end of the year.
  17. Why all the Nimmo love on this board? If we wanted to target a Mets OF, lets pursue Comforto. Expensive and only signed through next year but a badass. Nimmo...meh
  18. The guy I would love to target is Mike Tauchman, OF NYY. LH hitting, power and speed and great glove. Can play all 3 OF positions very well. Yankees can move him due to abundance of OFr's like, Garner, Stanton, Judge, Hicks and Frazier. Tauchman could handle RF or, spell Eloy in LF (when Eloy DHs). 3 years of cheap control beyond this year. I would offer Lopez since Yankees need pitching in a big way.
  19. Look no farther than SD. Desperately need a cather and plenty of interesting pieces. Luchessi ?
  20. Guessing Red Sox would sell low on Benintendi (Lopez straight up?). Yankees might move Clint Frazier for Lopez +? but not sure he's a dramatic improvement over Engel.
