Yep....feel the same since moving to Atlanta. Gotta admit Nashville has a lot to offer although housing market is crazy.
-
Not the point but thanks for the tutorial on Internet technology. I think it has potential to be big.

Since you like to search and repost others to support your perceived high ground, why don't you pull up the posts about you leaving this board? Something about moving to Nashville because you were so distraught. Obviously that didn't happen.

I remember tossing out a hypothetical Moncada for Gavin Lux trade when Moncada couldn't hit his weight and was a strikeout machine. BTW, Lux is now the LAD #1 prospect. Anyway, you mischaracterize my post. I'm not jumping ship as much as attempting to ignite discussion.

Okay...I'll toss some red meat to the pro-Eloy section.....is he a major liability in the OF? do we believe his defense is likely to improve w/experience? And...here comes the red meat..would you entertain trading him to someone like Seattle for, oh say Jarred Kelenic (LH OF prospect) and Logan Gilbert (strong RHP prospect)? Heresy, but if Eloy is DH only, maybe we should leverage his value before the luster wears off.
-
Hope you are right about Eloy but it would sure be nice if one of our prospects entered the league with authority; i.e. Alonso, Acuna, Sosa, Tatis, etc. And while we can argue how bad the Tatis trade was, I think the Dodgers trade of Yordan Alvarez for Josh Field was at least as bad. Alvarez, like Alonso, were not nearly as highly rated as Eloy and they started tearing it up as soon as they arrived and don't appear as though they will be slowing down anytime soon.

Every Astro in tonights lineup has at least 10 HRs on season with four players north of 20 (Sox have four with at least 10). We compensate though with brilliant defense.

Lopez 4-0 w/2.37 ERA over last 6 starts

Let's not forget the likely return to form of none other than Alec Hansen. But seriously, imagine how different things might look if somehow his switch gets re-flipped.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him

Or no one ponied up. I would be surprised if he asked for the moon. If he did, he miscalculated. -

Wow! I'm shocked. Was so looking forward to checking in and seeing who we got for Colome and upon reviewing MLB.com there must be a mistake. Guessing Colome just not highly regarded. Can't imagine Hahn was asking for the moon. Very disappointing. -

There are some pitchers I'd love to get but might require creativity. Package a couple of our guys and/or take back some salary. Bet Phils would love to unload Dave Robertson (signed through 2020). They've got a couple of pitchers, such as Spencer Howard to ponder. Maybe Colome for Howard and Robertson. Maybe Robertson will return to health and form and Sox can move him next year. -

Trent Grisham has been trending up and might make sense. -
so true Mags

If we are entertaining trading Lopez, I'd look to Tampa where Snell was just shut down for at least 4 weeks. Between Lopez and Colome, we might be able to extract serious prospects....i.e. Sanchez, Liberatore, Baz, etc.

Not sure who he would compare to among current Sox arms but Josiah Gray (Dodgers) would be a solid return. Spencer Howard (Phillies) would be a great get but would likely cost a great deal more than Colome. The idea of Gohara from Braves (LH fireballer w/issues) is interesting but a bit difficult to pigeonhole. -

Gohara is a roll of the dice worth taking. Awful body and hasn't pitched since 2018 but he's shown he can strike out major leaguers. If he checks out physically, he might be a steal. -

Seems like several Braves pitching prospects have slid back over last year or so (Wentz, Allard, Gohura). -

Been following mock trades and none of the trade pubs seem to be discussing Colome or Bummer. Not sure if thats a deliberate stealthy move by Hahn or oversight by pundits but this trade season is really moving slowly. -
Jimenez ?
-
Might Reynaldo Lopez hold any trade value?
-
Giants at .500 and sniffing distance of WC in Bochys last year. Doubt they try to move Wilson. Hoping Dodgers fixate on Bummer and offer Josiah Gray. The market for Colome doesn't appear too strong but Phillies could use him and Spencer Howard would be a great get.

Padres have a fungible OFer I'd like....Hunter Renfro. -

Dodgers are going to obtain bullpen help. Giants and Padres might not be sellers. Colome/Bummer might be best available option. Leverage.
