  1. The players that are playing now wouldn’t have been drafted yet. I don’t have any issue with draft eligible college players or high school players not playing until college is over. What I’m saying is because Madrigal is still playing it’s holding up Walker and Pilkington deals. They can’t play anywhere at the moment because of Madrigal. These are our top 3 picks not playing with a White Sox affiliate.
  2. Don’t they already have an idea of what each player will get?
  3. I guess 1 or 2 is better than 20+. The problem in this case it’s our top 3 picks.
  4. Walker has been waiting for awhile. I don’t see any good in that
  5. This is the problem I see with having the MLB draft during the season. The reason Madrigal can’t sign a deal yet is because he’s still playing in college correct? Because of that, Walker and Pilkington have to wait on their deals. If the draft was held after the college season players get signed, then get their assignments. No waiting
  6. I haven’t been on here long, but it was easy to pick out who the Warden of this group is. Does it go way back?
  7. This right here is key for me. I would love the chance to see them develop in person other than reading the recap and box scores online. Minor League games are such an intimate setting. The closeness to the field and players is much greater experience than MLB parks. Having that connection from the early stages of a player’s career is what I think we miss out on not having them in our backyard. I caught a Kane County game a few weeks ago to watch them play Cedar Rapids, which is the Twins low A affiliate. Royce Lewis and Alex Kiriloff were on the Cedar Rapids team. I was able to get both their autographs as well because of the accessibility. I’d love to have that experience with our prospects, but being in Carolina and Alabama make it difficult.
  8. Why was it half empty? And, that’s better than the normal 3/4 empty
  9. Alright then, kick him in the balls. That’s close to his ass.
  10. Reinsdorf is Bill Wirtz reincarnated. The only way this organization takes a next step is when JR dies. I hope the next owners kick KW’s ass while he’s walking out the door after he gets shit canned
  11. To me, all fans of MLB teams in general miss a golden opportunity to see in person what is on the horizon for their own Major League teams. I know for a fact that I would go out to many minor league games if the Sox affiliates were around the Chicagoland area. It’s wishful thinking, but I’d suggest the minor league system be just like MLB where the teams are at least located in the state, or within reasonable driving distance in which the big league team is in. Have a NL Central-AL Central division. Same goes for east and west coast. I get that you wouldn’t want to move from a place like Charlotte when the returns are beneficial, but how many of those people going to the games in Charlotte are Sox fans? If any of them are actual Sox fans I doubt they’re making trips to Chicago to see games here.
  12. It really bothers me that the Sox haven’t called up Gomez for this reason. They finally call up Cedeno, and so far he looks like a tradable piece.
  13. The best news we could hope for is that Dunning doesn’t need surgery, and only needs to be shut down til next Spring
  14. I’m not sure if it’s been discussed before on here, but I was wondering why minor league affiliates aren’t located closer to where the major league team is? I know the “other” team in the city has Iowa and South Bend as a couple locations that are within reasonable driving distance, so the actual team fans can go see them. Maybe it’s because the Sox Minor League teams are more interesting than our big league team that makes me want to watch them develop in person. Being in Carolina and Alabama make it hard to plan a trip. It takes me 40 minutes to get to Kane County Park, but I have no interest in watching the Diamondbacks low A team. I’d assume that there’s others on here that would go to a few games to watch a Kopech or Jimenez, or Hansen, Cease, and Dunning (pre injury) if they were in a drivable location. Is there any other reason than financially that makes sense why the teams are so far away from there major league teams?
  15. Trying to find write-ups on minor league injuries is damn near impossible.
  16. “Lighten up?” You referenced lines from the movie Major League. We couldn’t beat that team
  17. Your “Major League” reference will not work. We are not the Indians.
  18. I’m ok with giving Rivera a shot at SS, but not with Remillard and Yrizzari being ahead of Gonzalez on the OF depth chart. Should’ve kept him in Kanny if that’s the case. With that many errors and Vizquel as the manager it shows that coaching can only go so far. The players are responsible for getting the job done.
  19. Speaking of injury, is Luis Gonzalez dealing with an injury? He hasn’t played in the first 2 games for the Dash since being promoted. Yrizarri was in left last night. I thought he was a shortstop.
  20. That will happen when 1 guy has to make up for all the dead weight on this team. I really hope he gets traded to a team like Houston. He deserves a shot to play in the playoffs. Screw this mentoring shit.
