If you don't let the young players play and develop, then you've failed on this rebuild. I've said this numerous times, If Cease and/or Kopech don't develop into stud TOR guys, then we are truly fucked. I'm holding on to hope that both those guys will contribute big at some point this season.

If I were to put a grade on it and considering the Pandemic, I'd give this offseason a B- .
-
I'm with you on this 100%. I wish we had that kind of owner, but we know that's never happening here. It hasn't for the 40 years he's owned it. I've learned to no longer get upset over it since being a Sox fan is my own choosing.

Every team needs a lot to go right in order to win a World Series, no matter how much you spend.
-
They have the 2nd best betting odds to make it to the World Series from the AL, how is this playing down to your opponent?
-
Who's to say they can't be a "great one" as currently constructed?
-
It does get exhausting climbing those steps while carrying Jerry's water.
-
Read through the posts, I'm not defending the cheap ass owner. I'm calling out you and all the other crybabies who can't get off your dumb ass crusade against the owner as if it has ever mattered for the 40 yeas he's owned the team. This is as tiresome as discussing why the ballpark has such a high upper deck, or why it's not facing the loop, or the million other excuses on why fans don't show up to games. The White Sox will be a very damn good baseball team in 2021 and perhaps the next 5 years. ENJOY IT!

Dude, Jerry doesn't need to answer to anyone. You have a choice, there's the door.
-
It's as if these whiners just showed up recently to cheer for this team. EVERY DIE HARD SOX FAN KNOWS JERRY IS CHEAP! IT'S NOT BREAKING NEWS!
-
Same for how some of you allow the cheap ass owner to take away from enjoying what appears to be a great young team.
-
In part I'm glad stadiums won't be allowed filled to capacity, to have to avoid answering the constant question of why only 20k are showing up every night despite having a great young team.
-
Seriously. The best Sox Roster since 2006 with that added feature of young talented players here for long term success.....but too many miserable folks it's still not enough to be excited for.
-
I care. I'd like to enjoy this very likeable young exciting team in person.
-
Or Cease turning the corner and finding success as a TOR stud based on his elite stuff
-
I can make the same pessimistic bullet arguments for the entire beloved Yankees roster.
-
Sheets trying the OF is a good idea. He has no chance elsewhere on this team.
-
Without a problem, meaning, without hesitation in allowing it to take place.
-
The Cruz decline, if you want to call it that, is nowhere close to the Encarnacion warning signs. If Cruz provides a steady .850 OPS, he's worth $8-10 million for me.
-
If ST is in jeopardy of starting on time, I see no way Lightfoot will ever allow limited fans in games anytime soon. Meanwhile, I see the Chiefs last night having 20K in attendance without a problem.
-
AAA rosters are going to be stacked around the league.
-
Outside of Ruth, how many Yankee Red Sox trades historically?
-
This. If there is a single guy out there that the Sox can actually get who is within their budget and makes the most impact it would be Cruz.
-
Garrett Richards to Boston, 1 year $10 million.

Everyone will regress, and on the other hand the young pitchers have ZERO chance of ever getting better and reaching their potential. This is such a miserable pessimistic fanbase.
