  1. Cruz would make the White Sox line up elite. To go with an elite pen and a very solid 1-2-3 TOR. That's World Series material right there.
  2. Of all the moves (outside of pipedreams like Bauer and Ozuna) that have been kicked around here (including some insane ones), Cruz by far gives me the most excitement. I'm fine if this is the last splash we make, I'm fine going with Reynaldo as a SP and Collins as 2nd Catcher if we get Cruz.
  3. To give up a Top 20prospect, I wish it be for a pitcher with a little bit more of a track record than Burnes.
  4. This is why if the Sox were willing to get rid of Vaughn, Blake Snell would have have been the guy to go after using Vaughn as the lead piece.
  5. 6 years of Vaughn means you'd have to sign Ozuna for a minimum 4 years to make it worth it. a) It doesn't appear the Sox are willing to make a long term financial commitment like that. b) Ozuna is that much a pending DH as Eloy is. Having him for 4+ years makes no sense.
  6. Seriously. At this point, I rather take my lumps with Reynaldo and use the money to get Nelson Cruz. Make that offense elite.
  7. OK, I keep hearing that's not enough. So that means Vaughn and or Kopech.
  8. I'm having trouble understanding the thought process here. If you were willing to trade the farm, why the hell didn't we go get Snell?
  9. With the lack of commitment to ever spend top $$$, Kopech becoming an elite SP is almost a must at this point.
  10. Sure, Moncada and Robert too. I still don't get this silliness over a guy with 150 innings under his belt.
  11. So with 150 career innings in 3 seasons, Burnes is all of a sudden an "ACE"?
  12. I don't get it. Some people had a meltdown for trading a single prospect for a legit 2 x Cy Young candidate in Lynn. But we're OK to unload the Farm for a guy with less than 150 career innings in 3 ML seasons? WTF is going on here folks? STOP TRADING AWAY THE LITTLE BIT OF FARM TALENT LEFT. FREE AGENCY.
  13. The camp disappointed the Sox aren't in on Bauer is the delusional portion of our fanbase. If you haven't figured out the White Sox (shitty) business model by now then you haven't been paying attention.
  14. In essence, a 5th starter is what's needed. I've been saying since last Spring, one of either Cease or Kopech needs to end up turning into a TOR stud in order for this rebuild to have been a complete success. Quintana as an affordable #5....yes, sign me up.
  15. I don't blame the Sox for their draft approach the last 5 years during the rebuild. They were trying to rebuild for a competitor come 2020-2024. That's the reason for drafting College players. Now that the bulk of the ML positions are filled, they can move towards this long term approach.
  16. I'll take Quintana's track record 100 times over Musgrove "turning the corner last year."
  17. You're very weak if this "burns the heart." The Sox were never rumored for Musgrove. Don't have the prospects to make a trade like this. There are similar level pitchers in Free Agency right now.
  18. Insert Michael Jackson popcorn .gif
  19. Name their 7-8 starting pitchers? They go 1-5 and then have dig into their farm like everyone else.
