  1. No way on any playing field is Dunning ahead of Kopech or Cease.
  2. The White Sox are a much better team going into 2021 right now and have improved their chances of contending for a World Series. That's all that matters.
  3. You would think. But go listen to that fanbase, they are as miserable today as they were before winning the World Series. The exact thing will happen here knowing our fanbase.
  4. How did "buying" a championship go for the Cubs? While I'd love to win another WS, look at how miserable it feels to have a one and done for them. I'd be careful in signing the next Jason Heyward or trading away the next Eloy or Gleybar.
  5. I think people are missing the point. Kasper did not jump ship to do TV again (or in the near future). He wants to do radio, exclusively.
  6. Good chance Kasper does a lot of TV in relief if Benetti continues his rise on the National stage.
  7. There's an elite level SP out there that would cost you not a single one of your prized prospects, Bauer. Time to play with the big boys and hang out a 9 figure contract for once. Enough with this nonsense.
  8. While I'd like to have Lynn on this rotation for 2021, trading for one year stopgaps is what I thought we'd finally get away from. This is the same old "Sox way of doing business." Sign FREE Agents. FREE being the key word.
  9. Looking at Stroman's career numbers, I don't see anything special with this guy. He's Jose Quintana level. And the Sox could probably get Quintana on a year deal for about half of what Stroman signed for.
  10. Isn't the whole Tony LaRussa hate have to do about his political beliefs on kneeling to the flag?
  11. Thank you for saying this. The Cancel Culture, which is what this is here, never ever thinks about the consequences in the big picture. Driving drunk is a problem and LaRussa needs help. But really, he's a 76 old man and unfortunately people like this don't change this late in the game of life. I would hope Reinsdorf would do the morally correct thing here and terminate his contract. But then again, he's another stubborn old man stuck in his ways.
  12. The sky is falling again for White Sox fans: The Machado fiasco - "I'm done with this team" The LaRussa hire - "I'm done with this team" The LaRussa DUI - "I'm done with this team" Guess what, the White Sox are still a very damn good young baseball team and I can't wait for ST come March.
  13. People need to get off the Hinch shit. He was never an option. It was LaRussa's availability and desire to manage again that forced them to dump Renteria. It's that simple.
  14. Clearly your weren't alive for the Terry Bevington era.
  15. Steve Stone is the new WSD to Sox fans. Everything he says is gospel.
  16. The Electronic Cheating Scandal dwarfs the steroid era. It's not even close. Steroids - by some accounts, up to 80% of the players were involved, it was so spread out that almost the playing field W/L advantage was non-existent. The Electronic scandal was one team that got busted, and it's the one that took the World Series trophy.
  17. I was shocked Renteria was fired after the way the FO would talk him up plus finally getting to the postseason. But maybe this only happened for one guy only and that is Tony LaRussa.
  18. He's blacklisted. So no. However, he to me is the best candidate for the job. At least based on the names being tossed around. Speaks Spanish, was a winner, and knows this roster inside/out by covering the team.
  19. Don't play the Twitter game if you're sensitive and not wanting to get hurt. And what's odd here, I don't think this woman is even bothered or hurt by what Bauer responded. At least I haven't seen it. If so, she'd probably delete her tweet and even take down her account.
  20. Exactly. She thought she'd flex some cyber muscle and get away with it like most all people think they can. He called her out. I never feel sorry for people that get their own shit tossed back at them on Twitter,
  21. The only range Eloy has ever flashed is in his kitchen.
  22. RF, I say no. But why not LF? He can't be any worse than Eloy IMO. I think one thing to come out of this season is convincing evidence that Eloy has zero chance to ever being an adequate OF. And if the Sox want to maximize Eloy's lone elite tool which is hitting, his availability to the lineup every night is crucial. Get him out of the OF.
