  1. And setting up a stronger bench from the start, where Leury belongs.
  2. I'm just tired of the black alternates altogether.
  3. No way the Sox and Twins are behind the Angels, Mets, Nationals, and Padres. Good thing this article is behind a paywall so that less people get dumber from it.
  4. 1st Tweet thread: The guy had it it coming. Just wanted to continue to insist in wanting Stone to kiss Rose's ass. 2nd Tweet thread: Another delusional idiot begging for an Arenado trade.
  5. I'm not acting about anything. McDowell is talking as if he was full witness of the cheating, he was't even there. Going by pure hearsay.
  6. OK, I forgot that was a mid season firing. I know he managed the A's in '86 at some point.
  7. The argument is about using technology to cheat. Apples and Oranges.
  8. OK, this makes no sense. LaRussa last managed the Sox in 1985. McDowell not drafted until the summer of 1987?
  9. That was a whole lot of sucking in the late 80s while knowing what pitches were coming. Yikes.
  10. It will bring them way down from the high horse they've been riding.
  11. I might be in the minority, 1st and 2nd round picks for 2 years is not a light a punishment.
  12. How is this fair to the rest of the league on an un-balanced schedule as-is?
  13. This is about the only thing that scares me about the roster right now. Closer
  14. You don't need to congratulate me on that btw, Just pointing out the his most recent performance. Same we it's being done for James McCann.
  15. .858 OPS in 82 games, can play some CF in needed. I guess we can do worse.
  16. Would have hoped they could convince Zobrist for on last run. He'd be a solid piece on the bench, and platoon for RF. Hell, start at 2B out the gate.
  17. Did not expect him getting less than 2 years guaranteed, this makes me like the acquisition even better (I like the contract more than the pitcher). If he burns out you can easily dispose of him and keep moving.
  18. For teams like the Sox, Twins, Indians a $20 million + AAV deal going south is crippling.
  19. Robert has the ceiling of an Elite ML player, reason why you take that long term risk. Can't say Madrigal has a ceiling as high.
  20. Again, you're missing my point. Looking at this as future high leverage situations.
  21. No he's not. Ceshek has had the better career and was on our local TVs for the past 2 seasons. Need to look at this more not for what they've done, but for what you expect to get from them for the two seasons (assuming they can be had for a two year deal which after the Harris deal doesn't look likely).
