Bringing Nova back is doing the half ass crap we tend to rely on every off-season. Need to grab a front line starter, whatever it takes. If I have to put this $5-6 million from Nova towards that pitcher, do it. I can figure out the #6 later, but give me a #1 (Cole or Bumgarner)

Also need to keep in mind that it is very doubtful Cease will be given 200 innings next season. So he and Kopech both need to be looked at as 5th starters come April 2020. 2021 is when I expect both those guys to be let loose and pitch 200+.

Exactly. He needs to catch and hit 5 times per week. People have quickly soured on Collins seeing what McCann has done for half a season. Pump the brakes a little : 1) Maybe McCann is not as great as his BABIP indicates 2) Collins is still our future full time catcher until we get confirmation McCann has signed a long term deal here.
