  1. Gave up our season tickets we had since 2003. Our group had enough. They could give me free tickets to any game, I'd still not go. Traffic and drive in from the burbs not worth my time. Nor do the outrageous concession prices.
  2. Crazy this team had 100x more life with a corpse manager filling out the lineup card. For as mediocre as the Sox were, it did appear they wanted to play hard for LaRussa. It doesn't appears they have that respect for Grifold. Ozzie would have been such a better hire.
  3. We have to start catching up on our College Baseball prospects, looks like that's where this is heading. Any undersigned IFs we should know about, Hahn's specialty?
  4. Can our TV rights be voluntarily bankrupt so that we don't have to see this team ever again?
  5. Burger has played an adequate 3B so far since taking over. At least they have a fallback for the next Moncada DL stop.
  6. Anything more than a one run deficit for this offense should be considered bullpen mop up time.
  7. The water is so poisoned in that clubhouse that I don't see any salvation other than a complete burn down. They've built a culture of mediocrity and quitters which to the front office is acceptable.
  8. You have to really consider perhaps Burger being the 1B of the future at some point, considering the lack of 30+ HR pop Vaughn has shown so far.
  9. What was once the niche of the organization and perhaps the only thing they did well, signing players early has been the poison pill for this team. No way Anderson, Moncada, Eloy, Robert would be spending this much time on the DL if their next contract depended on stats and performance. Gotta follow the Rays and Guardians blueprint, use them for 4-6 years and then move on. Obviously their plan works a lot better.
  10. This was only going to go as far as how good the Core would end up being. Bottom line is they were overrated and really average if not bad now that we see the finished product. The bad referring to those that provided nothing at the big league level (Fulmer, Collins, Madrigal, Burdi, Hansen, Adolfo, Basabe, Walker, Gonzalez, etc) And to this very moment, there's a lot of struggling still going on with the top prospects in the organization.
  11. Ok, you can maybe get your argument across without being a dickhead.
  12. Top draft picks burning out over and over is a problem. If Vaughn does not start producing at a higher level, he is headed that way. Not a stupid take.
  13. This isn't about Jose for the 2023 season. It's about Vaughn not being anything close to an elite bat in this league.
  14. I'm still waiting for Vaughn to make me forget about Jose Abreu, Paul Konerko, Frank Thomas. I don't see anything special in him.
  15. Hahn went off to rails in his piss poor drafting, ironically one being Madrigal from that same trade.
  16. Hire a legit outside the organization talent evaluator who can tear this organization from top to bottom, and weed out all the junk that zero salvation. Players, coaches, scouts, front office. Everyone goes.
  17. 35 pitch inning, bullpen will need to go 15 outs here again. Way to ACE it up Dylan
  18. The Sox made the playoffs because they played in the weakest division in the sport. They weren't anything special because of weak pitching. Even with a Harper or Machado on offense.
  19. in hindsight, not signing $300 million free agents will be a blessing when this tear down happens. Thanks to the epic failure by this "core".
