I'm sure this has to be $100 million guranteed with the Sox holding team options for years 9 and 10 at a reasonable number.
-
At least one thing went right for KR/KW/Hahn .... Eloy didn't make the decision controversial.
-
The 6 big names of the Eaton / Sale trades.... Lopez is the only one that looks to be 100% on track. And maybe I'm stretching it there.
-
Ok, but point being it has not much to do about fans supporting or not supporting the team.
-
It can't get any worse. I think that's where many fans are sadly mistaken. Teams like the Sox are surviving solely on Revenue sharing from TV and Merchandise.
-
No accountability for what? News flash: They are alteady drawing about 15K of actual physical bodies in the stands almost every weeknight. TV ratings are in the dumps. We act as if we were Cub Nation or something where with all the years of suckage the fans were always there packing the place.

Well, I guess your also missing my point. So missing out on Free Agency and feeling insulted (for wherever reason on what they said) is also your breaking point to be done with the Sox? Like the OP said, let's grow some balls. Move on. The White Sox mean more to me than anything the Clown Car Front Office can do to ruin it.

The part I'm still struggling to get a grasp on is how not signing a $300 million ballplayer because you came in at $250 million was the breaking point of turning in your fan card. In my wildest dreams I ever thought the Sox would ever be in the conversation for a $100 million baseball player, let alone one at $250 million.
-
I knew when I saw the numbers, delusional Sox fans would still be up in arms. THEY ALREADY TOLD YOU THEY CAN'T MAKE A $300 MILLION COMMITMENT FOR ONE GUY. That was just a week ago

Is he wrong? Let's look at that for a moment there. If the Sox would be averaging say 25K per night on these down year(s), do they pull the trigger on that $300 million deal to Machado? I know it's hard to buy in for a bad product. But what happens first, do the fans buy in on the rebuild and kind of force the owner to pay for better players or does the owner pay for better players and hopes for it to make an impact at the gate? Common sense would be the owner making the move first, but historically Sox fans are hard to please even when money is spent. There's always an excuse not to go to the stadium. -
Also, does Nashville not have the internet? ?
-
Wow, this fanbase is something else. Folks need to get a grip on reality, baseball is just a damn game. It's entertainment.
-
It's still a comparable/competitive offer. It's not hard to read.
-
You don't know this. Shut up.
-
Indeed. The Sox had a legit offer. Let's all move on.
-
Fuck every Sox "insider" including Hector and WSD.
-
Can we also quit being worried about a .350 Slg% for 2 months of a pro debut from aluminium to wood?
-
I didn't know he was suppose to be a White Sox fan on top of reporting.
-
A deal this size goes way higher than Hahn.
-
8 Years $250 million in SD is equal to say 8 years $230 million from us. If we are willing to go $260 million over 8 years he's ours to have, assuming Harper ends up in Philly. Just hope JR isn't getting all cute here and trying to put in deferrals on that deal.
-
Well, then this goes back to the scouting and development issues that have haunt this team for the last 20+ years. Assuming you are saying you aren't sold on what they have been saying about Madrigal. For once, I just need this damn franchise to hit a HR for a top position player draft pick. Hell, outside of Sale there hasn't been much success for any top draft picks.
-
Moncada taking work at 3B is irrelevant to Machado. All indications point to Madrigal being the 2B of the future and on a possible fast track to the Bigs. Need to figure out Moncada's versatility sooner than later.
-
Heyman is begging for Machado to end up a Yankee. Dude has been an embarrassment this off season not being able to remove his fan hat while being a National writer.
