  1. Look, I understand everyone is arguing about the optics of that Robert meaningless play. A play he had like a .0009% chance of throwing a fast runner out on. Big deal, this team is headed to 120 losses. Maybe Kopech bouncing a pitch just beyond the mound is a bigger deal to me.
  2. I thank Robert for not throwing and blowing out his arm for a meaningless effort. Yes, with the Sox luck and his injures, a blown rotator would happen. LOL Save the Trade Value
  3. Stand corrected on Lee, he did run smart that inning.
  4. Tallest midget doesn't make him fast. It will take a gap single to score him.
  5. Now we have a slow catcher needing 2 hits to score at 2B.
  6. Man, wish Robert would learn to square up on throws a lot better. Gives himself no chance.
  7. Guys throw way too hard of these umps these days. What a gift!
  8. And with having a past TJ behind him, you already know that structure of that elbow. A 4 year commitment and eliminating the 2 arbitration years is not tall timber to climb, even for Jerry. You can probably get him for 4 years $70 million (10, 15, 20, 25) right now. Crochet loses 2 years of free agency, but gains security and also gets to try free agency when he's just turning 30. Should still be able to cash again if sustains success.
  9. I think this is the most SP depth we've had in a long time coming up through the system. I still wish we can stop the Crochet trade nonesense and invest in him to anchor this future rotation.
  10. Yep, but it's easy to get away with it that at AA. Reason for his very good K-Rate at the minor league level.
  11. Off Topic. The Tigers are 6 under after today. What happened to the "great" AJ Hinch hire that was suppose catapult the Tigers into this eras Yankees? Or at least, that's what Sox fans told me when they skipped him for LaRussa. You're only as good as your players and as good as the health of your team. Period.
  12. I agree, just wish he showed more pitch efficiency so far in his early career. He doesn't have the profile to go into long counts, not at the big league level at least.
  13. Brebbia is human gasoline for a dumpster fire
  14. Just 3+ years left on that Benintendi deal. Teams that want to be great would have cut him lose by now.
  15. Right, since the scouting an development for this team has such an awesome track record. You can't blame anyone for being pessimistic at this point.
  16. Well, at least signing 1B and DHs is Reinsdorf's lone niche
  17. Well, to be fair, "the dishing" started by Score against this guy before he even called his first game. They were up in arms about the hire because their boy Benetti had gotten canned and also because their prior reject host Connor McKnight was passed up for the job in favor of John. Why would would I (John) go on their airwaves knowing they don't like him from day 1?
  18. Ha, I don't think many fans are losing any sleep with this team and quite frankly most in my friend group who are diehard fans have had enough and just wish for Reinsdorf to go away somehow, even if it means relocating. He's not selling, he's not dying, so the only other alternative is his relocation to Nashville (or wherever). Maybe 5 years after we get the Cleveland Browns mulligan from MLB and get a 2nd team by expansion.
  19. This is headed to Oakland A's / Montreal Expos territory. I'm at the point in wishing for this sooner than later when it comes to having to put up with an owner that just doesn't die or sell the team. What happens after Reinsdorf moves the team? Then I can move on with my life in finding either another team to pull for or just stop watching baseball altogether and do other more important things with my life.
  20. Hiring Getz didn't really change or start anything new. Reinsdorf dead or selling is the only way this page gets turned.
  21. Outside of a very limited handful of starting pitchers, Jerry is 100% right on this one. ML starting pitchers are becoming like NFL running backs. Use them heavily for 4-6 years and then discard.
