  1. Yes, for Danny Mendick.
  2. Yes, their pitching is strong enough to carry them there.
  3. I mean, who's missing that should be there? Robert = COVID Moncada = SOFT
  4. It's a $$$ based organization, and any time Rick Hahn goes to the well in Free Agency he's eating dead money.
  5. Finally happened, thank God. But celebrating is acknowledging another link in the long chain for Rick Hahn's failures as GM. He's probably doing the same eat pie shit come next season for Grandal. Rick Hahn should have been fired today along with Dallas Keuchel.
  6. If those were your expectations, then you were being delusional then.
  7. LaRussa was an awful hire. But let's not kid ourselves here that another manger would have been fine with the avalanche of injuries the last 2 seasons. This to go along with Hahn's mis-management of resources, that's how we find ourselves treading water. Oh, and the the regressions to key high paid players like Abreu, Grandal, Moncada, Keuchel ..... Being at .500 feels like a blessing right now. BTW, we have only 3 guys in the lineup with an OPS above .750. The lineup which was suppose to go toe to toe with the Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros ?
  8. 100%. As I mentioned yesterday, Grandal should not be taking away any ABs at DH or 1B ahead of anyone other than Leury or Harrison. He catches, he hits. That simple.
  9. Those 9 there have not been available to the roster as whole, not once this year. And I think last year was the exact same. Just a brutal run.
  10. I read it as if you're saying they're "tanking" by choice.
  11. Who am I missing who should be playing instead?
  12. LMAO. Moncada is not putting up a 5 WAR season anytime soon.
  13. Neither are "great", and we needed Moncada to be great and consistent by the age of 25 when there was value to that contract. Assuming player A above (whoever it is) eventually got great at say age 29-30 what good does that do for the White Sox right now for this championship window? And Moncada's stats above include a spectacular 2019 season which clearly is starting to look like a complete anomaly.
  14. He's not a great player, stop it. ? Same way some of us go over the top with hate towards him, calling him "great" is way off the other end. And the reason he has a short leash amongst Sox fans is due to expectations. He was the #1 prospect and was traded for arguably the best starting pitcher in the AL at the time. The expectation was greatness. He is way too inconsistent to be great.
  15. 6+ weeks of watching Harrison and Leury fumble 2B. Assuming Rick Hahn has a working TV, he's got to be close to pulling the plug on Harrison right? Need new life/blood on this team.
  16. The ship has sailed for me. He's no longer a cheap commodity. 2022 $13 million 2023 $17 million 2024 $24 million + $5 million to buy out 2025 ($25 million) I have to get more than a good glove and walks for those Salary #s
  17. We've reached the point where if Grandal is not catching, he should not be in the lineup taking ABs at DH or 1B.
  18. Saving your best players from this meaningless trainwreck is actually one of the smartest things LaRusaa has done all season.
  19. Bullpen saver should be a new role defined on a roster. And Hahn got himself one of the best out there. (at least that's what Hahn would say to JR on his exit interview before getting canned in October)
  20. Is there a foolish team out there to take on $46 for the next 2 seasons?
  21. 2022 we eat Keuchel's $18 million 2023 we eat Grandal's $18 million 2024 we eat Moncada's $29 million ($24 +$5 buy out for 2025 option) We are so fucked.
