  1. The next new stadium for the White Sox will probably be in Charlotte in the next 5-10 years.
  2. Last year the White Sox won seven games more than the Cubs. This year, the Cubs are on a pace to win twenty more games than the Sox. Why? The Cubs made several acquisitions to improve their team in the off season. The White Sox added a very expensive singles hitter and a back end of the rotation starter. That is indicative of very different management approaches to winning.
  3. The two teams combined for 30 strikeoutsi in a nine inning game. That's ridiculous.
  4. There are a number of posters here who are thinking of Chicago in the 1950's. Chicago is a dying city, not dead, but dying. If I had a couple of billion dollars, I wouldn't be investing in Chicago. Thinking out 20-30 years, the future is much brighter in cities like Nashville and Charlotte. The White Sox have AAA history in both. I wouldn't be surprised if the White Sox move to either of these two cities within the next 5-10 years. Chicago can no longer support two MLB teams. The Cubs have virtually owned ML baseball in Chicago for the last 35-40 years.
  5. With the Rangers being the team scoring the most runs in MLB, and with the White Sox depleted pitching staff, I would expect the Rangers to score at least 100 runs in this series. But, baseball being the unpredictable sport that it is, watch the White Sox pitching staff limit the Rangers to only 75 runs.
  6. D. The White Sox, except for Giolito and Burger, the White Sox traded away riff-raff and received riff-raff in return.
  7. Okay, I don't get it. The White Sox trade a guy who will probably hit 35 home runs this year for a guy who's pitched a total of 39 innings at A and A+ this year with a combined ERA of 4.12 and a WHIP of 1.35. Plus, he'no kid, he'll be 25 in October. Is this another give away like the Madrigal "trade"?
  8. The current Cubs team is somewhat better than the White Sox, with that in mind, the Cubs should sweep. But, baseball is goofy series to series, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox get a split.
  9. I'm probably in a minority here, but I think the White Sox still have a chance of finishing third in the ALC. The odds are against them, but it's the best that can be hoped for in this miserable season.
  10. If the game was only eight innings long, the White Sox would have won 3-0. There's that.
  11. In his two years with the White Sox, Kelly has pitched in 72 games with a combined ERA of 5.54. He's been a $9 million a season failure.
  12. If you take away the first four innings of last night's game, the White Sox beat the Twins 3-2. There's that.
  13. I'm sure White Sox management will target a player who's injury prone, under performing, and uni-dimensional.
  14. How can the White Sox start dismantling this team with the same management on hand that created it? That makes no sense .
  15. Hahn may be a seller, but I don't want him buying.
  16. As the schedule stands today, the White Sox have 21 games remaining in July. Unfortunately, I see the Sox going 6-15 or 7-14 in those games. I hope I'm, wrong, but I think their season will be officially before the end of July.
  17. Someone in White Sox management should tell Anderson that it would be beneficial to the team if he were to get a hit occasionally.
  18. The Oakland pitcher has an ERA of 6.84 so far this year. Look for him to pitch seven shout-out innings, striking out eleven.
  19. The White Sox lost a one run game to a better team on the road. That's about the best result fans can hope for in this miserable year.
  20. If the White Sox go 3-4 against the Angels and A's it would be a successful road trip. However, 2-5 is more likely.
  21. Vaughn is hitting .237 this year, and in 1189 career at bats he's hitting .251. Those are not the numbers expected from a #3 overall pick. It looks like he's just average offensively and below average defensively. He's still young, so maybe he'll still find "it", but 1189 at bats is no longer a small sample size.
  22. The "Benderson" duo added seven more homerless at bats last night. That brings the season total to 423 at bats without a single home run. That's remarkable.
  23. In an attempt to put a favorable spin on this dreadful season, if you take away the first inning, the White Sox tied the Dodgers in the top of the ninth.
