In this upcoming Detroit series, the White Sox need to win at least four games.

Jimenez is hitting a lusty .196 at Charlotte. He should be sent down to Birmingham or Winston-Salem. If he does better there, then maybe he can be promoted to Charlotte later in the season.

Low Energy Premature trade winds…Jazz Chisholm 2B/Marlins

Chisholm is the left-handed hitter du jour for many White Sox fans. Maybe, they like the name "Jazz". His minor league and major league performance so far is nothing to get excited about. -
Low Energy Premature trade winds…Jazz Chisholm 2B/Marlins

I don't get it. Chisholm is hitting .241 this year with Miami. In his ML career he's hitting .239. His minor league numbers aren't impressive either. -
Three or four more weeks of this kind of playing, and the White Sox can write off the 2022 season, and the Hahn rebuild can be declared a failure.

If only White Sox brass would have known that Moncada's 2019 season was probably a one-off, career year. They could have gotten a bundle for him. If only.....

I'm "positive" that currently the White Sox are closer to fourth place than first.

Next four months…keys to survival that won’t cost as much
Jerry McNertney replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The White Sox only need a better catcher, second baseman, third baseman, left fielder and right fielder. That's not too much to ask for, is it? -
Who is excited for the shift to maybe, possibly come to an end?

I think a manager should be free to position his seven fielders wherever he wants. The goal of the hitter is to "hit it where they ain't". -
Sosa and Sanchez could help Sox this year
Jerry McNertney replied to DirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If Anderson can stay healthy most of the remaining season, and hit .300+, trading him should return 2-3 nearly ready ML prospects. The White Sox farm system is nearly bereft of potential ML talent. If the White Sox can't draft ML talent, maybe they can trade for it. -
Sosa and Sanchez could help Sox this year

I'm guessing that Sosa will be the White Sox starting shortstop next year after Anderson is traded in the coming off-season. -
One item of note, to date, Harrison has more at bats than Jimenez and Moncada combined. That says a lot.
-
Any sane buyer of the White Sox would try to move them out of the hellhole of Chicago/Illinois . North Carolina has a population of 10 million+ and doesn't have a single MLB club. Charlotte would be a logical move.

Sorry, meant "Hibbard".
-
At first I thought poster "Greg Hubbard" was joking about Moncada being a great player. Now, I'm beginning to think he's serious.
-
Someone should remind both Moncada and Grandal that it would help the team if they were to get a hit once in a while.

5/22 GT - Sox @ NYY (Double Header)

Although unlikely, we can all hope the White Sox will pull off a split. -

Given the overall poor play of the White Sox this season, winning two of the five game series against Kansas City seems about right. If the Sox win three, that would be good. -

Before yesterday's game, I was hoping for a White Sox split. Now, that seems unlikely. -
How bad can you be on defense and still make the postseason?

How about Lenyn Sosa at short? -

Anderson's on a pace to commit 52 errors this season. Hmm. -
Considering the White Sox starters for the first two games, winning one of the three games against Boston will be satisfactory.

I have never seen such an injury prone group of players in my 66 years as a White Sox fan. I don't get it. Back in the day, the starting team played nearly every game together. Fox and Aparicio started nearly every game together for several years, including both ends of a Sunday doubleheader separated by less than 30 minutes. There's the old baseball axiom that you get in condition for playing baseball by playing baseball not working out in a gym.

Crosstown Series Game Two--6:40 CT
Jerry McNertney replied to Ducksnort's topic in 2022 Season in Review
This should be another tough game for the White Sox. When on his game, Hendricks can be tricky. Going into the series I would have been satisfied with a split, so this game is gravy. -

Even with a slow start, Madrigal's BA is still higher than Harrison, Pollock, Engel, Garcia, Grandal and McGuire.
