Hope Tim is back in the lineup. Want to see that he is healthy.

We're all hoping for the team to get healthy, but just when it looks like that will happen, someone else gets hurt. I am concerned about Tim Anderson. Until he gets back on the field and plays like he can play, I will be concerned about him. The Sox are not going to do poorly in the post season just because they have lost some games to the Royals. But I would feel better if they played some real good baseball during the last ten days to two weeks in the regular season. Just would feel better about it. Playing well and being sharp going into the post season is a good thing. Isn't it?

The Sox have lost seven series since the beginning of August. Their run totals in last four losses? 2,1,0.0. Yes, those are pretty much like automatic Ls. Good thing they were able to pick up seven wins against the Cubs and Pirates.

The biggest thing the team has to worry about right now is his confidence. We have to remember Vaughn probably would have gotten very little major league playing time this season if it wasn't for all the injuries. He will be a good hitter. You just don't want his development delayed because he gets down on himself. Meanwhile he has to change his approach in RBI situations because whatever he is doing now isn't working.

If they can get five innings out of Keuchel that would be good. Do not want the bullpen to have to pitch the whole game.

The one player I worry about is Tim Anderson. When I see him back in the lineup and being his normal self, I'll feel better. If Anderson isn't healthy, things will be very tough for that offense.

Since divisional play began in 1969, the A's have won 16 division titles and two wild cards. They have won 100 or more games five times. They have gone to six World Series, winning four of them.

I think any of the teams going to the playoffs can end up in the World Series. I think it is that wide open. The Rays have the best record, but they have 18-1 margin against the Orioles. Not knocking that, but the Sox and the West teams didn't have the advantage of playing against Baltimore 19 times. DannyWright is entitled to his opinion. The White Sox have some question marks heading into the post season. But I think they have the same chance as any other contender.

To me, the magic number is 11. Sox win 11, that puts them at 90 wins. No way in hell the Indians will win 90.

A four-man rotation can work in the playoffs, but I am concerned that Rodon is not going to hold up physically. Giving a Keuchel a start in the playoffs is not a real option. It is a move of desperation.

True, but in a lousy division with only one other .500 team. In 1977, KC won 102. If memory serves me right, Texas, who was in the Sox division at the time, won 94. Since the ASB, the Sox have been shut out six times. That sucks.

The good news is is that Oakland has now been pushed down to third place, having lost six of their last 10. Gave up 18 runs in two games against Toronto.

Hopefully they will be healthy by playoff time. But every time we think that, someone else gets hurt. Glad they're not playing the Royals anymore.

True but they also won 90 games and were entertaining. In reality, they over-achieved. The year before the team lost over 90 games. Nice turn around. And in this diluted playoff system, 90 wins can get you a wild card spot. No wild cards in 1977.

The third time the team has been shut out during the past few weeks. The 1977 South Side Hitmen team got shut out twice for the whole year. I know it is tough to win on the road, but they were out scored 13-2 in these two losses to an under .500 club. I think there is plenty to be concerned about with this club.

Dick - I think you need to take something. What is a fist round sweep? You are right, though. 9 in the loss column is nothing.

Kopech has an arm and he's young. Too early to give up on him now. But he came up with a lot of fanfare, and I never thought he was handled right. I hope he finds it, because the Sox are going to need him. It would be nice to have an effective Kopech in the playoffs. There's no need for name-calling.

I am happy with the win, too, since it seems so hard to win in KC. Any multi-run inning for Kopech. Don't know what to say about his recent regression. It can't come from overuse. He made this game harder than it should have been.

Common sense just needs to be used. A player can aggravate an injury or stink up the place if he isn't healthy enough. I think players need to be on the field to be sharp, but I would be cautious. Let the player heal and come back when he's healthy. Forget the macho stuff.

I never really had a good feeling about the series. They never seem to play well in Kansas City. Hope they can win the next two, because they have a rough week ahead.

Lamb could provide occasional power, but that was about it. Maybe he can come up with some big hits for the Jays, but he didn't have many here.

9-0 to the Rays. 7-0 to the Cubs. 7-2 to the Royals. These flops are getting tiresome.

They were a great team in the 1970s. Two World Series wins over two great Oriole teams. Too bad this team has fallen on bad times. Has had a great history.

Has a good RBI total for someone who doesn't play every day. Has had some clutch hits this year.

I'm not a Javy Baez fan; I know little about him since I stopped watching the Cubs even before Marquee. A player who does this is putting himself in a no-win situation especially when he and his team is not playing well. But perhaps wimpy fans should be able to take it if they dish it out. And the three most entitled fan bases are those with the Mets. Yankees and Red Sox.
