This was extortion, pure and simple.

I agree and these errant throws are getting tiresome. He's been around long enough that things like this shouldn't happen. The best Mitch will ever be is a serviceable #2 QB. He does look good at times, but there is something missing in this picture. The Bears will have a quarterback controversy as long as Mitch is the starter.
-
The threats were obvious. And, all this time Trump and his supporters have claimed the election was stolen, and here is Trump strong-arming an election official. This was more than crazy and GOP congressmen and senators are making themselves look like lackeys by supporting Trump in this coup attempt.
-
You're kidding, right?

Eventually the FO will have to trade a valuable prospect for a veteran. I am not saying that the team has do this right now, but that choice will have to be made sometime. One cannot keep saying a championship is in the future. 2020 was an exciting year, but it was also obvious the club had shortcomings, young phenoms or not.

And we never will get those details. It is concerning when we don't know about the health of a president especially when it can influence his decision-making. Trump is probably doing all right for a man his age, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have issues. But this is not new. Kennedy had his Addison's and Eisenhower suffered after his heart attacks and strokes. As time goes on, we will need to know what is going on with Biden.

Cruz simply doesn't have any pride. He so craves the presidency that he thinks he has to kiss up to Trump in order to survive the primary process. And it will be all for nothing. Most in his own party can't stand him, and I can't imagine him winning the nomination. Regardless, if this is what a person has to do to hold onto power, it seems to me that person has little power. The Republicans really need to distance themselves from Trump. It will be a rough ride, but right now they look totally inept. And no, the GA runoff elections are not unconstitutional. Trump doesn't even know what is in the Constitution.
-
Not to mention that Pence would be electing himself since he would stay as VP. Slight conflict of interest there. I never knew that candidates can elect themselves. All of this is so damn stupid. The votes have been counted and certified. January 6 should only be a formality. It was in 2001 when Bush was elected even though there was much more evidence that election was stolen from Gore than this election was stolen when Trump is losing by over 7,000,000. These Republicans are genuflecting in front of a man who will be out of office in less than three weeks. Talk about spineless.

This was a big help.

That hack Hawley is making his so-called challenge only to promote his dubious political career. Nothing but an opportunist who needs to go away.
-
Living in Indiana also, I wonder about many things. And QAnon gives conspiracies a bad name. If you're going to believe in a conspiracy, believe in something that has facts behind it, not superstitions.
-
I'm not surprised at this one bit. But this doesn't matter to the Trumpies. They still carry on this persecution complex and still live in some strange world. Regardless, this has become so tiresome. It will be nice when two days pass: January 6 and January 20. They can protest all they want, but their man is done, has been done for a while.

One big and obvious decision is Mitch. It is obvious he is not going to be a standout quarterback. At best, if he stops some of those stupid passes, he can be a quarterback who can manage a game. He can even make some plays when he gets out of the pocket. But is this enough? Will the organization ever be able to build a team around him, or is it time to face facts and move in an entirely different direction?
-
Not a good speech, but a great one. Fans can't always expect results, but they should expect effort.
-
I'll watch; I just don't expect much. Yes, crazy things happen like one of Mitch's crazy passes. I give the team for not tanking, but I am not looking forward to the Packers game. The Bears are just not at that level.
-
This is a good assessment. The simple fact is that the Bears don't belong on the same field as the Packers, and they are not truly a playoff team. It will be a huge surprise if the Bears find some kind of way to beat Rodgers next week. They can only hope he will be bored with the game, but that isn't likely. If the Bears make the playoffs, it will be as an 8-8 team. That is not all that great.
-
In various ways, the political leadership failed the country during the biggest crisis the country has faced in a century. This performance was horseshit.
-
The Bears can't be so arrogant that they look past Jacksonville. This game now really means something and so it will be a good test. Beating the Packers even if Green Bay really won't need the game? Not likely, but if the Bears want to act like a real playoff team, they will have to find a way to beat Rogers. But first there is Jacksonville.
-
The Lions are a joke of a franchise. And the Bears may lose a shot at making the playoffs because they blew a late 10-point lead to this team.
-
They did great work under crazy conditions and helped keep a dictator from stealing an election.
-
This is right, but Trump is too busy feeling sorry for himself and pardoning mass murderers. Shows where his priorities are.
-
Meanwhile, the "law and order" president just pardoned three crooked politicians who stole from their own supporters and four mass murderers. Regarding young people who struggle with making decisions about college and debt? What does he care? He was born into wealth and privilege. He has never had to work for anything in his worthless life. It is ironic, though, that through his incompetence, he has amassed almost a half a billion dollars in debt.
-
No, that wasn't my intention. My point was that situations like this are hard to come by, and so, instead, people are left with incredible debt. My real point was that a person has to have some kind of training or education post-high school to get decent employment. Despite Trump's promises, blue-collar jobs are not coming back. So, as a society, how do we make education and or training accessible to people who don't have a great deal of money? A high school diploma alone just isn't going to cut it. By the way, I do remember when candy was just a nickel. Ah, those were the days.

Quite the lying gal, Joni. And yet, the Dems were so inept, they couldn't take her seat. Yes, the election was fixed all right. Like another poster said, she should have been at the end of the line, if she was in the line at all.

I just wonder if the Kool-Aid drinkers will ever catch on to how they been lied to over and over. This shame has no limits.
