  1. I also believe in giving people a second chance. However, this is what an interview is for. Did the person really learn from it? Regardless, that person must understand that he will be under the microscope for a time. There can't be even an appearance of cheating or unethical behavior. That can be tough, but if the person really wants to turn the page, he will be able to operate under those circumstances.
  2. Good. I'm glad he is not a candidate. It 's time for real change not some sentimental bullshit.
  3. I am with everyone else. I am totally shocked by this. Is it possible? Is this team really serious about the rebuild and about winning? We've been asking for change. Now we have it.
  4. Things can really change now if the Sox complete this rebuild the right way. I just don't have a lot of faith in the Cubs ownership at the moment. The Cubs aren't as lovable as they used to be. We will see just how serious the Sox are about turning this franchise around.
  5. I am not both siding it. I do like MS-NBC; I just cringe at some of its coverage. I can't even watch Fox because the network doesn't come close to objectivity or accuracy. And the network some times does great harm to people with its slander. What I am saying is that I remain skeptical even like I think the source is basically credible, especially when it comes to something this important. I am not going to give a pass to anyone when this country is in the shape it is in at the moment. As far as my politics, I don't think you know what my politics are.
  6. Let it go, Greg. As bad as Dybber's baserunning was, that alone didn't cost the Sox the World Series. Greg Luzinski certainly didn't help in that game. In five appearances, he never put the ball in fair territory. He struck out three times and fouled out twice. A long one from him during the first nine innings gives the Sox the win. And the Dybber was on third base with two out in the ninth when Rudy Law struck out. As far as the pitching situation in the playoffs, we can debate about Renteria all we want. The fact is the Sox didn't have a passable third starter. Or fourth or fifth. They need to do something about that.
  7. I agree with Two-Gun Pete on so-called Fox News. That network does not report news in any way. However, as a liberal, I sometimes find my stomach turning when I watch MS-NBC. That network's bias shows too, and it did what it could to sabotage the Bernie Sanders candidacy. Regardless, I find myself trying to sift through the bias and figure out what is honest reporting. I think that one truly important thing regarding the virus is information. We, as a country, desperately need it. We need to know how to protect ourselves and just how hopeful the future is when it comes to treatments and vaccines. We don't need scams that mislead us and even con us out of our money. Or worse yet, people killing themselves because they are fooled by wild claims. Right now journalists don't only need to be journalists. They need to be patriots. Our future depends on it.
  8. The fortunate thing is that no one has died or seems to be on death's door as a result of the White House cluster. Trump should, at least, feel relieved for himself and others. That's why having these events is so stupid. He's learning nothing. Also, even with no fatalities, there still can be long-term effects of the virus. Once again, leadership is not there.
  9. Without having the benefit of inside knowledge, I am convinced he is doing much worse than advertised. The White House just isn't all that transparent. Additionally, all his brave talk sounds like a bunch of denial. Even if his condition has improved, obviously this is a disease that can't be dismissed. Regardless, holding rallies would be a horrible decision. More people will get it; more people will suffer. Strange thing to do to your supporters.
  10. There was the Hannity interview where Trump was coughing and gagging. Not to be surprised, the country is not getting the full picture on his health. Regardless of any medical okay, I wouldn't want to be near him, not that I would want to be near him anyway.
  11. Simply put, Trump is all over the place and has no credibility when it comes to this crisis. Denying its impact is not a solution. And I have not heard one bit of empathy from him regarding his staff and supporters who have contracted the virus. The same goes for his wife not that he cares about her.
  12. DeSantis is more than crazy. He refuses to face up to the horrible situation in his state. Tourism is a big part of Florida, but who in their right mind wants to travel to a state that is spiking all over the place? He represents the total feeling of denial that has only made things worse. Does he have to get the virus like Trump? Would he claim it would be an act of God and a blessing? He is not only crazy, he is delusional and the people of Florida are suffering for it. The man is a complete fool.
  13. I know what he told Woodward, and I don't need to google anything. What Trump said was absolute bull, like everything else that has come out of his double-talking mouth. My point was that he has no credibility on this issue or on most issues. In the meantime, the West Wing is a "ghost town." Maybe you should learn a thing to two.,
  14. Trump said he has now learned about the virus. 10 months into the crisis and he's just learning now? What has he learned? Nothing from my viewpoint.
  15. This guy is just digging himself a larger hole. A secret service agent has been quoted as saying Trump doesn't even put up the appearance of caring. From what he says and does, it appears that is so true.
  16. Then it was dumber yet along with being insane.
  17. Guiliani has been strangely absent for the past few months. Regardless, he has nothing useful to say regarding this crisis. He needs to go away unless he wants to help Trump fall further behind in the polls.
  18. To go along with the dumbest thing he has done when he returned to the White House and took off his mask. I seriously don't know what he is thinking, but it doesn't get any dumber than this. The leadership just isn't there and that is putting it mildly. This is more than dumb. This is insane.
  19. This is a very good question. The answer is they can't. They are still in denial and it is the strangest denial I have ever seen. Trump states how well he feels right now ignoring the fact that the Virus can have long-term effects. This is incredible.
  20. It all starts at the top. If Trump truly worsens, power has to be passed to Pence, and that would make things easier. Historically, administrations hide things even when the president isn't doing well and that jeopardizes national security. Right now, we really don't know how bad things are, and this is maddening. Pence and the cabinet must be willing to act if things really get out of hand.
  21. In reality, when have the Bears offense looked good? The fourth quarters of the Lions and Falcons games, that's it. Take those quarters away, and the Bears offense hasn't done anything. Not looking forward to Tampa Bay.
  22. Three points for a half. Typical Bears offense. It seems it has been like this for the past 50 years. Perhaps it has been like this for the past 50 years. Colts will not choke like the Falcons and the Lions.
  23. And this mixed messaging is only leading people to think the worst. It leaves me with the impression that no one is in charge. For better or worse, temporary presidential powers should be passed to Pence. Should Trump recover, he can assume his office again. The fact that this is not happening is very concerning.
  24. Yes, he did, and his wife was basically running things. We can't have a repeat of that in any way. Things have to be different now. Roosevelt hid things; Kennedy hid things. Those days have to be over. This is a wake-up call in so many ways. Time to learn from history.
  25. Yes, you are absolutely right. This isn't political. We have a right to know what's happening, and responsible people in the government ought to read the constitution and take a hard look at the 25th amendment. The problem is that the polarized atmosphere in Washington isn't helping matters any. Leaders in both parties should be meeting to see how to handle this crisis. We haven't had a candidate in this type of condition so close to a presidential election. So, how is it going to be handled? Staying in denial about things, like they have about the pandemic, won't help. Right now, I don't think Trump is physically able to handle his job. I don't listen to the glowing reports.
