Does this team just not do any warm-up or stretching? It feels like our players end up grimacing or limping literally any time they need to sprint.

Tim Anderson to 10 day IL, retroactive to April 5

Benetti was endorsing this strategy on the broadcast last night, which makes me think it is very likely to happen. -
Guess he'd have to skip the gamethreads too

Believe it or not, he's not reading these posts so

The other difference is there are way more questions about Crochet. We KNOW that Kopech can be a starter, and a good one, we just need to build his arm up. For Crochet, we really have no idea. When he has to go 5 innings, is he sitting 98 mph, or 94? Does his stuff still play at those speeds? Can he get his delivery consistent enough to pitch 5-6 innings, and does he have enough pitches to not get hammered the second or third time through? His lack of college innings as a starter make his case pretty unique.

Yeah, Abreu is fine and all I guess, but he could stand to learn a thing or two from Reuben on how to give high-fives
-
Codi looks like he started shaving last year, and even then only by choice, and yet he's a year older than Andrew "second but maybe actually first or like the same time coming of Paul Konerko" Vaughn

It is way too early in the morning for me to be this erect
-
Yeah except in a video game I would have Alt+f4-ed the second the Eloy injury alert popped up
-
After Eloy's Injury, LF and DH were suddenly major questions. But Garcia, Collins, Vaughn, and Mercedes have combined to slash .306/.352/.429 with 7 RBI and 8 runs scored. Take that Hahn haters!!

Well obviously the Muffin Man needs an oven mitt, don't want him to get burned as bad as opposing pitchers.

Y'all know that feeling when its 3 pm and your one night stand is still just chilling on your couch? Me neither but I imagine its a lot like this.

Sox have played terribly, but have been in every game

Not to mention Madrigal being completely bailed out by Raisel Iglesias, who had Nicky dead to rights at third after he, yet again, stupidly tried to advance to third. -
You should change your username to 'The White Sox Offense'

Well Cease could have done that
-
This is Cease's third year. He has 26 starts over the previous two. He shouldn't be a finished product by now, no one is saying that, and I agree it is way too early to give up on him. But it isn't too early to worry! And it is absolutely worrisome that Cease seems to be the exact same pitcher he was when he got to the MLB two years ago. And furthermore its absolutely fair to complain in a gamethread when for the 25th time we are subjected to a Cease that is completely uncompetitive on 1 out of 3 pitches and isn't generating anywhere close to the swings and misses or weak contact that it seems his stuff should be getting.

AJP: Haha just did the most infamous drop third strike in LAA history, no one will ever top that. Yoan Moncada: Sostenga mi cerveza
-
Don't worry guys, they're warming up Cishek!!!
-
People have been saying 'Rome wasn't built in a day' about Cease for literally hundreds of days now.

Ah that's definitely an interpretation I didn't think of! That said, grammatically I believe that would be written as: Whenever we decide to move him back into the rotation, in a year or two he’s going to be one of the best starters in the game as well. There would be one comma separating two clauses. In the way James transcribed it, the 'in a year or two' is a parenthetical expression, which could also be written: Whenever we decide to move him back into the rotation-- in a year or two-- he’s going to be one of the best starters in the game as well. The latter makes more clear that, as written, the sentence is saying that Kopech would be back to the rotation in a year or two. So I guess the question becomes did James transcribe it correctly, and that we won't know unless we get audio. Seems like it could go either way.

Ballsiest drawn charge I have ever seen

AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE MEETS A VERY MOVEABLE OBJECT LFGOOOO

After years of watching Moncada get routinely screwed on close pitches it is even more aggravating to see the umps defer to Trout on what is and isn't a strike

I would watch a documentary on how the fuck your brain works bro
