Hey, if that's what it takes for you to be a fan now without acknowledging how good he was before, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night. -

Sox playoff chances sit at 100%, 3rd in AL for WS odds

We're already 7 games ahead of the Angels and 4 games ahead of Texas so if it does come down to those too, we already have built some wiggle room (We are also 1.5 games ahead of Toronto, who is in the second WC spot right now) -

There are no fans but hopefully the rivalry pressure still gives the series a bit of a playoff vibe, we need practice in handling high-stakes games. And by we I don't mean the players, I mean us, in the game thread. We melt down over random shit versus non-divisional opponents, how the hell are we ever going to handle the crucible of a playoff series? Gotta get our young posters some experience! -

Its not like the team has a unilateral decision here. James (from what we've seen) wants to be the starter on a team. If that is the case, there is really nothing the White Sox can do, even if they wanted to bring him back, except make him a competitive offer and hope he changes his mind.

Well, that and the fact that Grandal has a years long track record of excellence to offset his SSS performance while Mazara has a years long track record of being a slightly above average hitter against RHP while being a black hole against LHP and a major defensive liability to complement his SSS.

The game delays are not for fairness or anything like that - the testing takes a day or three for them to be sure that the team isn't going through a full outbreak. Playing games during that time would risk having multiple teams go down at once. To your point, though, I think the taxi squad is a bit of a holdover from when their plan was much dumber and they thought they could just hot swap the one infected player out and go play that night.

I really love how we can't ever celebrate McCann doing something good without turning it into a referendum on Grandal. Def one of my favorite things. -

Ok eloy, now you have two strikes, time to change your approach and make sure you at least get a run home EDIT: OK a walk works too, good at-bat -
Just coming out to start the 5th was seeing if he could get it back (and I'm fine with that part too). He proceeded to give up a hit, a 104MPH screamer that should have been a hit, and then a walk. RR hung him out to dry

Perhaps this is just personal preference, but most portly dudes over 50 would fuck up my wet dreams. Now, Justin Jirschele on the other hand......
