Walton mansplaining what a double play is to Jason is my new favorite thing.
Ah shit, now it's Walton sarcastically asking Jason how many times he has made the SI cover.
What a game
I hated this broadcast for a few minutes until I switched into the right frame of mind and started loving this broadcast for the work of shit posting art it is
It has been a while since my high school Bio class, but I think one of those people can be a Cubs fan, so long as they have recessive Sox fandom from their own parents?
My favorite part about Eloy really catching one is the immediate crowd reaction.
It isn't a cheer. It isn't even a gasp. Its the same noise a crowd makes when a boxer takes one on the chin, an audible "ooophh."
I was thinking of detwiler in particular. Seems like the Sox have done this a bunch this season. Get a couple lucky starts, watch the bad player be bad for a bit, then finally get rid of the player for a new rando after a big blow up.
Being 80+% Fastball/Curve was fine when he was just trying to master a new delivery and not be the worst pitcher in baseball anymore. If he wants to be as good as he looked in May, he needs all 4 pitches.
It would make a lot of sense if he is dealing with some shoulder fatigue or discomfort. He may be unconsciously taking slightly different arm paths through his motion to alleviate the pain, which is throwing off his mechanics.
