  1. I was pro-Abrams before tonight, but I've been talked into Vaughn. Pretty excited to see him progress. That said, I can't believe I spent 5 hours tonight listening to Harold talk, and reading what turned into a shit-show of a thread. I must hate myself.
  2. Yes, trade via Reds. Competitive Balance picks can be traded (but only by the team that was originally given them, and not for money).
  3. He may be fast, but he sure ain't quick. Hopefully that's doesn't works as a , umm, uh... what do you call it, uh.. work against him. As a disadvantage.
  4. I think McCann has a better shot than Anderson at this point, if for no other reason than competition. Gleyber Torres, Jorge Polanco, Adalberto Mondesi, Francisco Lindor, Carlos Correa, and Xander Bogaerts are all well-known and having great years. McCann has to face Gary Sanchez, Jason Castro, and then a bunch of similar stat guys
  5. Live look at Ron dodging the facts he asked for
  6. He did. "Condor" was a fantastic nickname.
  7. Considering his family and screen presence, I'd like to nominate "Hollywood" (I like Big Foot a lot too though, apparently TA7 came up with it haha)
  8. Ron's bashing Abreu again. Everyone, time to add him back to your fantasy teams. Hot streak here we come!
  9. Gio is an absolute pleasure to watch. BTW, does he have a nickname yet?
  10. I wouldn't throw a single strike (or close to it) to Santana here
  11. He actually nailed it this time (broken clocks and all that)
  12. At this point, we might need to shuffle who is the ace of the dream rotation
  13. Seems like you got the praising greg covered, didn't think we needed to pitch in is all.
  14. If we are shouting out coaches, we also need to recognize W-S pitching coach Matt Zaleski. I feel like every time I read a story about a pitcher doing well in our minor league system, his name is the one that comes up in player quotes.
  15. Hahn has shown he pays a lot of attention to the schedule when calling up prospects, and June is unforgiving. I think he may wait until July 3rd, when he can bring up Cease as the 26th man for the double header. Then he gets a nice long ASB rest, and can face Royals, Marlins, Mets, and Tigers, with only the Twins in the middle of that.
  16. Ah, a gentleman of taste I see. Your lesson was a lot better than mine, which was "Don't fuck with Ghandi after the Industrial Era." Haven't found a situation where that was useful yet, but I am hopeful.
  17. I think it'd be the opposite. Batting Alonso 4th just keeps making it clear how bad of an acquisition it is, and keeps the failed Machado hunt in the foreground. To me, it is much more likely that RR is not a flexible thinker, and insists on having LH power bat hit 4th, no matter the results. (See also: No use of openers, SP being left until the 6th come hell or high water, years of batting a fast guy 1st, even if he isn't a good OBP hitter, etc)
  18. I found Tom Thibodeau's account.
  19. Considering preseason expectations, Cleveland fans have way more to complain about than Sox fans AND THAT FEELS GREAT, F THE INDIANS
  20. Feels like we're going to be hearing about a Cleveland Player's Only Meeting soon. (June's ugly cousin of March's BSOHL)
  21. Have the Sox considered the idea that Manny isn't actually a starting pitcher...? EDIT: That 17.47 ERA in the 3rd is before tonight, by the way
  22. Um yeah, I was def just working a reverse jinx there guys. Totally.
  23. I don't love the match up of Eloy vs a pitcher throwing his slider 30% of the time...
