  1. That isn’t what he’s done. He was pretty spot on with Manny Machado last year and he was even more spot on with the Eloy extension. Just saying...
  2. He’s basically a back up catcher. He doesn’t really need consistent AB’s IMO.
  3. Giolito’s turnaround happened last offseason but there’s no doubt McCann is his preferred guy.
  4. He has heard plenty. He doesn’t publicly post everything he hears.
  5. Agree, and the Sox haven’t had to give up any draft picks.
  6. Gotcha. Although, I am not opposed to a Price deal depending on the cost + additional players involved.
  7. Agree. It would be beyond idiotic and would still leave the remaining holes in RF (platoon), top starter, bullpen arm. Any trade for Lindor makes absolutely no sense at all unless he agreed to a massive extension... Which isn't happening either.
  8. Trading Q to the Cubs was not less likely than the Sox giving up a haul and acquiring 2 years of Lindor from Cleveland. On top of that, it does not fill a hole, it doesn't add a platoon RF bat, add another top SP, or a bullpen arm. They are not giving up their top assets to acquire a SS with 2 years of control left.
  9. The difference is the David Price rumors are valid. Whether a deal gets done is another story. This Lindor rumor is likely complete BS. It doesn't even make sense.
  10. He’s also worse against LHP than Mazara. You’d have to platoon Joc as well and give up more prospects.
  11. Perhaps it’s fair to question that when the offseason is complete?
  12. The Sox actually did much worse last year and they didn’t have to try at all.
  13. Your last line is a bit of an exaggeration. By no means is it the best target. I agree. But let’s see what they do next.
  14. And? When and if Walker hits the big leagues, 2-3 years from now as a 25-26 year old, what difference will it make? The Sox, if they’re contending, won’t be playing Steele Walker in RF anyway.
  15. Yes great post?? Walker is 23 and in Winston Salem posting similar stats as Mazara who’s been in the majors for several season and is 24. One sucks. The other is a travesty to lose. SMH...
  16. Number 6 prospect who’s only a year younger than the MLB 24 year old we acquired. In fact, their splits are pretty similar, except one did it in Texas. The other in Winston Salem. Let’s put this in perspective people. Good god.
  17. Really? Aren’t they around the same age? One has been in the majors for several seasons. The other has mediocre numbers and bad splits against LHP in Winston Salem?
  18. I don’t agree he’d be bad if used properly. But I do agree they can do better. 100%.
  19. As I’ve said, let’s see what the cost is. It’s very relevant.
  20. I’ve been very specific and clear about him working as a platoon option. Not a full-time every day right fielder. So no, I want more than 1.5 wins out of RF. With a platoon, you’d likely get more than that.
  21. While I don’t agree with breaking down a 24 year old’s career numbers to project what he’ll do the next few years, I think your comment about aiming higher is a very legit argument that I don’t disagree with at all.
