  1. 4 years closer to 90 mill is what he's looking for.
  2. I really don't know. Heard Pederson was making a decision today and feared it was the Sox. I'd rather go with the current platoon than Joc personally.
  3. 4 yrs was the ask. Rosario and to a much lesser real extent, Schwarber. Def not Suzuki.
  4. Sox arent budging on Confortos ask. 2 of their backup options disappeared this morning. Got a bad feeling its trending toward the platoon or Joc in right. Hopefully wrong.
  5. Would you guys rather roll with Sheets/Vaughn/Engel (what's left of him) in RF, or trade one of them and go with Joc Pederson?
  6. They havent lost out on anything realistic. Conforto is still there. I'd still bet Kimbrel gets traded and there will be another SP.
  7. Correct. One piece of bad news is Rodon going to SF...there was legit interest in then taking on Keuchel and a portion of his deal.
  8. I think the league is waiting for the first move to open the floodgates. I think things will move quick with the Sox, my guess would be RF first.
  9. Gonna be very surprised if Sheets is still on the team next week.
  10. These fucks (both sides are fucks) both knew where they were going to end up and what it would take to get there and still will take it right to the final hour (maybe an extended 24-48 hrs) to accomplish it. And then both will act magnanimous while simultaneously selling that they won the battle.
  11. He will not be hard to unload. And will play next year.
  12. He was gonna be up Opening Day with or without the Eloy injury.
  13. A week ago everyone would have been cool with Segura and Conforto. As of now, that is still very realistic. As for them misreading the market, they knew Conforto could be in the ballpark of 4 yrs/90 mill. After the deal Marte got, that is probably the high end.
  14. Dude has a God-complex, keep him far away from the Sox. I see people still up in arms...there is still a day and the Sox didn't lose out on anyone they targeted (could say Escobar, but not even sold they were in too much on him). I still say they upgrade in Right, Leury isn't the starter at 2B, and there will be another Starter. They lose out on RF and get stuck with Kimbrel, all angst is earned. Next couple months are gonna blow, but the sky didn't fall here.
  15. I don't think the lockout has anything to do with it on their end. Conforto is a target and if he agreed today (or tomorrow) its done.
  16. They weren't to me. Not that that means shit.
  17. Conforto hasn't signed elsewhere. I don't know of one name signed that was a realistic target of the Sox. I wouldn't get pissed until they miss out on him and/or get stuck with Kimbrel. And I'm not defending the organization, just don't think they've lost out on anything they've coveted yet.
  18. This morning I assumed it was Scherzer with the news he was close. Still think that's the case.
  19. Shared with a couple on here that last night I got a text that a big name was pretty much signed (not with the Sox) and that a lot of pieces would fall into place today. Seems like solid info. Same person says Kimbrel deal close, FWIW.
  20. If Conforto is on the team in 2022, I think it's very likely he signs before the deadline. Just my hunch.
  21. Way, way too early in the offseason but had a few cocktails...my betting right now would be Conforto and Segura in RF and 2nd and Vaughn has played his last game for us. Hopefully a stud Starter is had for Vaughn. Maybe out of Miami. Again, very early.
  22. Lordes Gurriel could be had for at least a season now. Toronto would jump all over him for Vaughn.
