5/8/21 Chicago White Sox @ Kansas City 6:10 PM CDT

We've had several low scoring games, done fairly poor with RISP and had low production from several regular players. Now, that last bit in particular is probably mostly TLR's fault but still needs to be stated. And a large portion of the board was upset with out lack of offensive production and consistency the first few weeks. Weird how revisionist history tends to sweep over this forum. -

You might not have watched several games in the first couple weeks or so. -

It's embarrassing that we have been upset about how generally bad our defense, offense and bullpen have been most of the season so far along with numerous key injuries? Positivity is good, but the almost chemical level of sunshine and rainbow nonsense you constantly pound is utterly silly. -

You guys are such grouches. Exactly what do you want them to be talking about? They are still being plenty analytical about baseball, and Jason is having confident banter with Len rather than desperately trying to seek Stone's approval on subjects he's not confident about all game. I love Stone but I think these 2 make for a much better pair overall based on the few games I've heard them do together thus far. -

Yeah, I'm actually enjoying the commentary overall for once. -

I think Jason is a solid announcer. In his case I think he just needs to go with the philosophy of accentuating the positives and hiding the negatives instead of putting them on display for Stone to feed off of all the time. -

As is our usual one. But I feel like Jason seems more loose and confident with Len. I love Stone but so far I feel like I enjoy this tandem more. -

If the rotation (and Kopech) can keep looking this good then more water will be filling my glass for sure. -

Figured I wouldn't miss much by tuning in an inning late or 2. Holy shit. -

Rodon ❤ -
I guess I hoped the exclamation mark might do it, lol. My bad. Yeah, the notion that he has to hit HRs to be worthy of his drafted position is just silly to me.
-
I was being facetious.
-
He can't hit home runs. Your argument is invalid!
-
I said your thought was laughable. Which it was. Were you not the guy who repeatedly said I was "too stupid" to argue with? Maybe I have you mixed up with someone else. And yes, it was poor judgment. You can be technical without name calling, and that's what this is. Sorry, no way around it. Thinking TLR was anything other than a bad hire was poor judgment. In your long-winded wall of text that could have been simplified down to a small amount of sentences and constructed in a more readable and grammatically sound way, you really avoided even acknowledging most of the points I made. So yes, I have to believe you are either doing that on purpose or lack some comprehension.

Most of those "positives" are not even relevant and are nowhere near in the realm of equal or outweighting the nagatives and either you have not actually thought about the negatives or are being purposely dishonest. 1. Very old 2. Been out of the game for a decade (This is where you end the negatives? LOL) 3. Had a recent DUI (which establishes a pattern and he's fucking 76). Do I really need to delve into bullet points just for this reason why this is bad? 4. Young clubhouse with attitude starting to get noticed, doesn't gel 5. Behind the game (doesn't understand the modern statistical elements, etc.) 6. Was essentially a pity hire and there were much better options available, no argument 7. Buried the GM by tying his hands and not letting him do his job, making him look weak 8. Potentially allowing a known controlling personality (who is now also on and out of touch) to have power over decisions he probably shouldn't So many of these cascade and there are at least a few I've brought up before I'm forgetting. I'm not gonna use the term, "moronic;" I don't believe that is ever a rational thought process. I will say that deductive reasoning absolutely tells you it was a terrible decision. Thinking otherwise is either denial or poor judgement. Asking "who better?" to take a young fiesty club to the playoffs than a 76 year old boomer who is against a lot of things this club exhibits is laughable, and that's putting it nicely. Big lack of awareness there. And what on earth does Tatis has to do with subject?
-
Based on fucking what?
-
It was unreasonable by almost every possible way you could analyze it. Sorry.

And obviously the DH spot is Yermin's, simple as that.
-
But a Hall of Fame baseball person... just like Tony! Srsly tho, how can anyone who pays any remote attention to baseball say were are the "perfect landing spot?" As someone else said earlier, there is literally nowhere for him to play.
-
WOW I had no idea he was quite THAT bad.
-
Some of what you mentioned here are those types of intangibles that stats don't take into account. The more things happen like that the more the stats will... (shocker!) change. I'm a stat nut and they are super important but if that is literally all you are going off of and put your entire hopes of playoff chances on some percentage chart you're a fool.

I love how the attitude has shifted to instead of shaming the people who troll, let's blame the people who confront them. It's stupid. No. Trolling is childish and ridiculous and people that do it should be called out for it. If you present yourself as a troll, then no one should take you seriously because you clearly haven't grown up. This emoji stuff is dumb and just promotes that liquid courage trolling nonsense. Let us see who is posting that reaction and see if they do it as much. Or just eliminate it altogether because really, it's just pointless. Weird to see so much trolling and degenerate behavior on a forum that hates Trump so much. -
Exactly. Basically putting their odds to a coin flip when they are in a meh division and struggle to beat the teams in that division doesn't exactly inspire confidence. That said, the rotation is starting to look like fire. That's encouraging. Unfortunately, we all know not just one aspect of play can determine how good they can be. Between defense, bullpen and inconsistent offense there are a ton of question marks with us, too. Not to mention our seemingly endless key injuries.
