I like Joc but I'm thinking big. Would really love to acquire Ozuna or Brantley and make it a big offseason.

Swerve: Justin Verlander is retiring and becomes the manager of the White Sox.

Oh, put a sock in it.

Well then.

Trevor Bauer Thread (Mazara Free Zone)

Big difference between a ball player and a President, though. -
What in the holiest of all Hells.

That would be such a ridiculous mindset, and would make it obvious we're still bush league. The idea is to want to get FA to actually want to sign with us (as opposed to signing someone's friends in hope he'll sign on a discount).

Is it weird for me to say I almost feel like it's going to happen because it would be just our luck? Especially after the first REAL glimmer of hope of organizational change in forever? If it does happen I think we will collectively crash the site.

I don't know that anyone really is.

Wasn't that the reason RR was hired? We don't need any more "groomers;" We need a competent, experienced manager who isn't 76 fucking years old. No more fucking around, now is the time.

Either way, arguable hell.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?

You shut up, or I'll pull you out of that one bunk Hilton and cast you down with the sodomites. You'll think you've been fucked by a train. -

Agree wholeheartedly. But that's preference, as you said. In no way do I think having won titles should be a prerequisite. -

Pretty cut and dry. I think suggesting you HAVE to get a manager who has won a WS is silly, especially when you're contrasting with someone who was terrible. Granted, the guy I want the Sox to get right now has one under his belt, but... well... there admittedly is an asterisk, lol. -

Umm... that's just a little silly. -

I wouldn't necessarily call it condescending, but being a troll. And being condescending is... well, dumb... when you can't even support your own positions. -
If the Sox actually rehire Larussa... I can't believe this is possible but it would completely reverse all the excitement I felt yesterday when they parted with Ricky and Coop. Would be a huge step backwards after a huge step forward (that I think most of us didn't think would even happen). Hopefully this is about as true as how Arenado was "for sure" coming to Chicago. But guys like Bob actually pushing this that hard is just a tad nerve-wracking.

So you can't back up your arguments, can't support your points, can't explain yourself at all... and now you are basically admitting you're not even reading the posts you're responding to fully? So basically you're a troll. Not sure what "2020" or "succint" has to do with YOUR complete failure to support your arguments with anything. But good to know you're just a troll who should probably be avoided. Again, if you can't even answer basic question posed to you, then you obviously don't have the answers and therefore your opinion/argument is literally meaningless. You failed to support anything because you don't have the ability to. -

I don't care what you think about my position or what you hoped for. That's not the point. The point is you have your to support your argument or position with literally anything. Can't call someone else's position dumb when you can't even support your own. You cannot call a position illogical without being able to explain logic. You cannot refuse to answer endless questions from all sides yet feel your argument is correct. If you had a solid grip on your own argument you'd be able to explain it. You said that my position was so dumb it's not even worth the time. Yet you continue to respond to me. Again, I'm not stupid so I see through your BS. You refuse to "entertain" it because you don't have the ability or the insight. "/ discussion." -

Except penalties have nothing to do with the point. Someone having been penalized has nothing to do with Integrity based on hiring them. You have yet to Define what is forgivable enough to hire or recruit and what is not. You've still answered absolutely nothing. "/conversation" = I still can't back up anything I say. The next time you have the nerve to call someone dumb and illogical you better damn well be able to explain logic to that person. Your words carry no weight whatsoever. -

There you go again. Yeah, it was so dumb that you couldn't explain why. Again, you call people dumb and illogical and then when called on to explain yourself, support your points and present the logic and claim that is missing from other people, you failed to answer any question posed to you and simply disappeared from the argument. That means you lost the argument. You couldn't back up a single word you said so you got passive and softened your stance, threw up the opinion excuse and disappeared. Sorry, but I'm not an idiot so I see right through that. If you can't even Define what it is you say someone else is missing and you people be talking about it. Again I'm going to ask you to show us some data or chart or something that specifies what is forgivable and what isn't. But you'll fail to because it's completely arbitrary and it means nothing. (It's really not possible to back up such silliness and we know it) You're the one who failed to answer any questions. Therefore you obviously can't back up what you say and makes your argument invalid. Period. You say it's not worth entertaining because you have nothing to counter with. If you have the answers to the questions, you would have provided them. I'm not the only one who was grilling you that you failed to respond to. -

Dude, you already lost this argument so you really should sit this out. There's still so many questions on the subject you failed to answer yesterday so you really have no room to speak on this issue anymore. Sorry some of us don't follow your completely arbitrary and undefined scale of what is forgivable and what isn't. -

Again, thought you didn't watch any games? Either way, yes, the players themselves have to perform but the manager has to have some accountability. When you on numerous occasions put guys out there who have worked numerous innings recently while your most rested (and in some cases also BEST) guys continue to sit, you have to share some of the blame. The downplaying some do of the importance of all the (many basic) decisions managers have to make that impact the game is criminal. -
Yeah, I had to edit my post to clarify.

If everyone thought opposite of this mentality then basically no one would get a second chance, ever. The world would be pretty messed up in that case. But if the severity is bad enough, dammit. (Someone needs to make a chart so what we know how far is just too damn far!)
