I cannot think of a better next man up group than this 2021 team. it's really fun and so good to root for everyone. -

video don't lie, so makes sense as a base hit. -
Cubs are imploding. KB literally covers everything this team needs. Its too perfect. I recently read that Starling Marte and Marlins are talking extension...so unless that is a last ditch effort for them to keep him, maybe he will be traded as well and would be worth a look. Power righty bullpen arm has to be the other look.

Donaldson single handedly woke up the sox bats. Maybe this will be the reverse of TLR Mercedes curse

Who goes to pen? Cease for a power BP arm for playoffs? -
Spin rate on Lynn will either justify a potential contract extension or letting him walk. This is one of the top stories to follow for the rest of the season honestly.

This weekend was such an oof. Thank goodness the Pirates can cure all the ails.

Lamb is must start vs righties

Yaz starting to get more aggressive. Love it

DP action needed in my life

No game is a must win...but today really needs to offset this horrible series. I know Astros are very good at home (suspect) but a split should have happened. A sweep may force Hahn to do something though, this offense is starting to show 4 missing starters cracks in a big way

Missing Madrigal is really gonna start being felt. The bottom of the lineup is not in a great place right now

The shift is so depressing

Hahn: Too early to know if Sox will be buyers
EloyJenkins replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
One thing I am hoping is that with all the rehab...he got a good diet going and dropped 10-15 lbs. he needs that IF they have any intention of playing him out there. -
I like Starling as an option a lot also, but he is a righty (His splits are awesome though) My post and focus is on the playoffs moreso than the 5 weeks until Eloy is back. The fact that sox need left handed impact EVEN when he is back. that can be either 2nd base or RF (I have lost complete faith in Eaton being serviceable the rest of the year and especially the playoffs), so while I agree that Goodwin has done a nice job and Lamb can give you some pop, you really need a lefty starter for all the RH starters they will see in playoffs. Mendick, Engel and Goodwin don't give that confidence to me...and Engel is going to be needed as a 7th inning on super defensive sub all October. Ketel is too expensive for sure, but is such an ideal fit since Eaton will NOT get his option picked up next year. Starling, Escobar or Frazier are realistic...but shoot for the stars Hahn. Nothing less than a championship THIS year. his words.

they honestly were bound for a game like this. and you knew the Astros would be motivated with Bregman hitting the shelf for a while. Get em tomorrow. Pitching matchups look solid for rest of series and they definitely can score some runs tonight to get the taste of Cease out. All good. One game changes nothing.

Kyle Tucker is on Covid IL (we will see if he gets cleared today or tomorrow) and Bregman is going to miss the whole series. Sox should pounce on this opportunity and anything less than 2 (really 3) wins will be a downer
