This is hopeful and great news...and unfortunate news at the same time. They should have already made a move (they didn't), Engel should be back soon (unless he tweaks) and now the Mets need outfield help and looking at the market. A WHOLE LOT has to go right for both Eloy and Robert in August to not have any delays or setbacks without having any real safety net. Leury just isn't an answer anymore.

having eaton platoon for both Eloy and Vaughn actually maximizes Adam's strengths and he can get hot in bunches. It's best case scenario for playoffs and getting Laury the hell off this roster.

I don't think I would. I thought they should have ripped up his contract for this season and made it 3 years starting this year. At his age...I am not sure exactly what he will be looking for.

No reason to think they can't do two years. gate revenue will be higher than was predicted and will only get better if they stay in 1st place/playoff run.
