  1. If they agreed to a Lynn trade 24 hours ago, seems pretty messed up that there were still teams connected to Lynn this morning and afternoon... you'd think the Rangers would have to stop shopping a guy they've already traded, but yet people are still talking to the Rangers about Lynn.
  2. ... so all these other teams agreeing to trades today really agreed to them days ago? Come on man, it's the trade deadline. No one is holding news on an agreed trade for 24 hours.
  3. I'm just saying even if a trade happens, it quite obviously wasn't agreed to 24 hours ago.
  4. My spidey sources are telling me Marte is on his way to the Marlins.
  5. Some concern over locker room issues between Little Foot and Carl, but reports are most think Carl will just pretend Little Foot doesn't even exist.
  6. Beaking: Sox trade Timo Perez for Carl Everett and Little Foot.
  7. Heuer was caught midair and is back on the airplane, for now!
  8. I like pitchers who find celocity after they're drafted and actually get stronger as a pro. Stiever fits that profile.
  9. i love kopech as well, but me and you can drive Michael to the airport if this happens.
  10. yes, but you can't remove those two because they're in the proposal.
  11. Why are the people who are the most critical of the White Sox front office and all their moves, the people who come up with the worst trade offers?
  12. but it's quite obvious the sox hadn't agreed to a trade 24 hours ago.
  13. I'm a big Gallo fan and would love the Sox to pull off a trade for him, but he will drive Sox fans insane and this forum especially.
  14. Crazy to think all these teams made these trades yesterday and we're just finding out today.
  15. Who reported Heuer isn't traveling with the team? Dick was joking.
  16. Damn, I love Mike MInor. I would have wanted him. A's get a good one.
  17. apparently didn't even give Heuer fair warning; luckily they had a parachute on the plane and they just threw him out over Milwaukee on their way. Reports are he landed in the middle of the target sign in downtown Milwaukee among multiple elvis impersonators.
  18. plus, gausman is just a league average starter so he's not an upgrade over anyone. all jokes aside, his stuff and k/bb numbers are really promising and maybe he's finally getting to what people thought he'd become.
  19. cool, that's not what you said nor is it what i responded to.
  20. What are you talking about? So the White Sox wouldn't have been better adding a league average hitter compared to Adam Engel last year? Aren't you always one of the big fans of "average" is fine and you rip the Sox for throwing out sub-replacement level players. Well Naylor is average. League average is much better than a .473 OPS. So by definition, the offense is better. You get so upset if one of your points is questioned. It cracks me up.
  21. Wait, how didn't the offense improve? Coming into today they were starting from L-R LF - .473 OPS CF - .644 OPS RF - .583 OPS Naylor has been a league average hitter 99 wRC+ .732 OPS. He is significantly better than everyone the Indians have played.
  22. This is tough for me. Clearly Clevinger is very good at what he does, but he hasn't been great this year and the team was fine without him. They also have well below replacement players in the OF, so Naylor is an upgrade there by default. Quantrill can help the bullpen this year which needed it more than the SP. In addition, they clearly hate Clevinger's guts at this point ha, and that does matter a little... so are they better? No, I can't say that but I don't think this is a blow to the Indians playoff or division chances. I'd say they cancel out.
