Kopech sitting out 2020 - files for divorce

I'm pretty sure they'd rather he be there, but they've handled and managed this well. -
Kopech sitting out 2020 - files for divorce

Has nothing to do with being ready physically; seems to be discomfort mentally with an unorthodox and unusual process/camp and season. If he doesn't feel comfortable yet, or with this season in particular, it's his career and he should do what he feels is best for it. -

With all do respect, this kind of doctor talk drives me insane. You're not kopech. You don't know how he feels. You also proclaiming if a guy isnt over an injury in less than 2 years then his career is over and he never will be the same drives me nuts. As if the timeline you set for a stranger in your head is the only way recovery is possible. This is eerily reminiscent of the Derrick rose nonsense I read from "doctors." -

Unless the Sox were going to dick him around and deny him the full year of service time; as I said, at which point he should sit out. -

Just out of curiosity, would you go to work for no pay for the love of your co-workers? Regardless, I'm not buying the financial angle only; mainly because the trade off is playing only 60 games to get a full year of service time, unless he felt the Sox were going to dick him and deny him that full year regardless in which case he should sit out and say f off. -

I agree, I just think kopech was already gonna be limited anyway and is young enough where this impact may not crush him as much. -

People again are losing there minds for nothing. There's a good chance this season doesn't even finish - strong chance they don't even start it at all. People are worried about experience when no one is going to be getting a ton of experience this year as is. -

This is another point. This isn't ideal conditions for a guy who was hurt. 20 days to get ready is nothing compared to a normal camp, and he had already begun to rev it up earlier. Now he can control his rehab pace and assure he comes back as healthy as he believes is possible -

Don't think this is that big of a deal at all; assuming Kopech stays on a regiment. He misses, what, maybe 8 starts? Maybe 40 innings? That's not huge development time lost. Not being with the team isn't ideal but I don't think he's missing as much as people think. He's not going to stop throwing and pitching. He'll control the remainder of his recovery and build up as he deems best. -
Sox Summer Camp Catch All Thread

That's only if he's high risk, for example Buster Posey won't get service time (not that it matters) because he's not high risk; also, I think he was sent down beforehand but not sure how much that matters. -

Maybe he does? -
I'm still saying Kopech and Moncada.

At the expense of others? Man the American mind set and culture sure is self centered and idiotic now-a-days.

Yup all but confirms it I feel like.

I think you're ignoring two things. 1. You're comparing Illinois to countries - with leadership who reacted quickly and people wore masks and stayed away etc. That's just unfair and absurd. No matter how good Pritzker or any Governor does, he lives in a nation that has no unified leadership and a nation that has 50%+ of the states and 35-40% of the people refusing to wear masks or take any serious precautions. 2. Illinois got hit first with New York because it is a international hub. He mandated masks early and things have really leveled. He could have done better in nursing homes just as all the leadership could have. I just can't think of a Governor who I think reacted better or more quickly. There were a couple that were about equal to him I thought.

Jack, my Uncle - who is 68 years old - doesn't even know how to use the internet without signing into the old AOL software.; His amazon password had to be changed and he couldn't do it because he doesn't know how to open to web pages at once. He barely knows how to use a computer at all. People my grandmas age still use CHECKS at the grocery store. She can't see a computer screen because her vision is so bad. She has no idea how to order groceries and she lives in a moral rural area. Your resolutions just ignore countless people and the reality they live in.

So how do old people get groceries? Or medication?

Sox summer camp roster announced

So if a player tests positive once in camp, they will be named? In addition, why did the Cespedes injury come out? -
You don't think Pritzker has done a good job? I hated Pritzker - I'm tired of billionaires buying political power, but even I can't deny he has been outstanding with COVID. He got hit earlier than all those places you named and he squashed to the best of his abilities despite being surrounded by 3 idiotic states. I'm not sure why you citing volume stats given the timeline and the population of the state vs other states. Lightfoot has sucked, I agree there, but Pritzker and Illinois have done a fantastic job slowing and containing the spread.

Love to hear the thoughts from an expert - so not me - on HIPAA because I'm not sure why HIPAA protects players privacy for COVID but not injuries. In addition, I think raising awareness is important and total transparency by the league and everyone involved should be the norm. They obviously have rights and they have a right to privacy, I just think it makes no sense from a public safety/transparency standpoint. -

I'm honestly confused by the insistence on privacy from the players. -

Yeah, st Joe's is nice too. My folks are retired in South Haven off of Hawkshead. Just drove through st Joe's and michigan city today. Know the ruppert family who own clementines in st Joe's and south haven. Love going to that area. -
Cuthbert? I believe I saw McCann.

Oh I get the love of kelenic. I'm just saying the two guys drafted ahead of mad are arguably worse so far.
