  1. Yeah, dave tweeted this around 545. If rabbit told him in the morning not sure it would be the same thing.
  2. Rumor came from Olney. Then Dave tweeted look for sox v sox trade. Ftr, I'm not saying that means anything but it does mean more than steve cisheks alter ego.
  3. The only person who knows anything that has tweeted anything is WSD.
  4. None of the people who have tweeted have any idea what is happening. Nothing has been final. Didnt listen to Josh Nelson's podcast but I imagine he moved it up because him and Dan talked about guys who were starting to sign with other teams.
  5. Only thing Kenny squashes are White Sox fans hopes and dreams.
  6. I mean Sale hates the Sox and the Sox hate Sale. Is sales contract really even bad though? Bumgarner is gonna get around the sale guarantee maybe.
  7. No way, pretty sure both sides mutually hate each other lol. I hope I'm wrong though, that would be hilariously awesome. Trade him for Yoan and Kopech. Get him back as a salary dump two years later.
  8. https://www.mlb.com/news/yoan-moncada-tops-2017-midseason-prospect-list-c244152682 edit; this was midseason and moncada was traded pre-season.
  9. Fair enough; If I was wrong about your comment to Frank Castillo, I apologize. I don't hate you floating your ideas - ftr. You have every right to discuss what you think - just as everyone does - and I appreciate reading all the takes; even Parkman's depressed ones. I didn't want this to come off as attacking you, I just thought you were being critical of someone getting something wrong when a lot of people have gotten a lot of things wrong about the Sox. You were pretty adamant they'd net Machado, for example, and it's not your fault they didn't and you certainly never reported the deal was final but you certainly were down on those who didn't think it would happen.
  10. Moncada was widely ranked as the #1 prospect in baseball; the exception being Keith Law, at the time of trade. Kopech was the second or third ranked arm in all of the minors, and he was no where near 70 that Jack is claiming when the Sox traded for him. He started the year at 32 and finished at 11. Kopech and Moncada is very obviously and clearly a superior return to Vaughn/Madrigal.
  11. To be fair, Hahn said no one cares about free agent labor; people love the labor of a trade!
  12. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/white-sox-acquire-good-fit-in-mazara-rangers-farm-system-gets-deeper/ Don't always agree with Longenhagen, but I agree with him here. Good take on the deal, imo.
  13. I don't get how Price would fit the concern of accelerating the process though. He shouldn't really cost much in assets. This seems to imply the Sox would be giving something back that was a part of the future. @Jack Parkman, it sounds like they're talking about ROBERT!
  14. Yeah, I believe he had a solid source as others did. The past two years though, he's been like everyone else. I didn't want to look as if it was an attack on the guy - it's not - I just thought he was a bit off putting with his criticism of other reporters who trusted a source and got it wrong. I would love to know why Ozuna's family thought he was signing with the White Sox; that one still baffles me. I just think at this point, trusting what anyone says about this team is pointless. Even if there's a 1% chance the Sox sign Rendon, you will hear nothing about their involvement until the end of it.
  15. This is the best window of Rays contention that they'll have for quite some time. They're not moving Snell.
  16. The White Sox offered him 125 million; if you're going to be over the top negative with this team at least be accurate.
  17. I do find it odd that Bilek was critical - in a sarcastic way - of the Ozuna report because it wasn't accurate but has rabbit been right about a single off-season move the past couple seasons? Not a shot at the guy, as I think no one really knows what a team will do because teams aren't transparent and honest with these things... I just think you shouldn't throw stones from your glass house.
  18. The White Sox didn't trade an asset to fill RF only to go out and pay a guy 80 million, that other teams are asking to play RF, to be their DH. Jack, back away from the keyboard pal. The White Sox aren't trading Robert for anyone or anything.
  19. I don't see how him saying that Mazara is how they addressed RF plays to him implying that they could bring in a bigger RF'er. I think it's very obvious that the way they addressed RF was Mazara and that allows them to do some other things.
  20. I'm like 99% sure Rick was saying don't judge the avenue we went to get a RF until you see what that allowed us to do elsewhere.
  21. Well yes, they didn't trade for Mazara to make him their 4th outfielder.
  22. A manager has to answer to his players every single day. Ricky has never worked with Mazara. I think Ricky should shut up and not give a vote of confidence to a guy without knowing shit... but I also don't expect Ricky to say that he can't hit lefties, never will be able to, and will be platooned for that reason. Your manager should have your back, and he should absolutely go to bat for you with management. At the end of the day, if it's May and he looks abysmal vs lefties, you make a change to help the player.
  23. That's weird, because he was beloved in Tampa. Boston is tough on guys who get paid and have set backs. Carl Crawford was about as good of a person as existed in MLB by all accounts; if you listened to the Boston media he was a lazy hack who didn't care about his performance. I wouldn't judge any player based on media portrayal in a major market.
