  1. Damn, was praying he fell below the pirates as he may have fell to the Sox then... even though I hate high school pitchers.
  2. Corbin Carrol has been the best high school player in the country the past calendar year - better than Witt and Baty.
  3. He thinks the twins guy reminds him of Royce clayton...but a HOF version.
  4. Just curious as I know nothing about him, why? Lack of exposure while playing on the west coast is a baffling thought to me.
  5. I dont understand how he wasnt in any showcases. I was awful and played at area code and PG. I guess that was a long time ago, but how is it possible that he wasnt at AC or PG formally?
  6. Yeah, I think the age concerns really matter. I was Batys age my sophomore year of college. I was 17 when my senior year season concluded in high school as I had a late birthday.
  7. Usually you reclass up a year, not back in baseball.
  8. Harold never stops giving. The 9th pick in the draft isnt just Freddie Freeman (a perennial MLB allstar) but hes Freddie with better power lol.
  9. Hes the baseball version of Kevin pittsnogle - wvus famous white trash center that helped lead them deep into the tournament
  10. Callis says the worst in his 30 years. I dont have enough knowledge or history to say that but certainly the worst since I was in school 12 years ago.
  11. Said it on previous page, but hes Joba 2.0. Just taller.
  12. His body is so trash. I know hes a pitcher so it means less, but jesus christ does he remind me of pantload Joba. Two pitch nonsense from a big 12 school - hard fastball and decent secondary with nothing else.
  13. I love Hunter Bishop. If swing and miss concerns didnt exist he would be my #1 player on the board. To much risk in him hitting 230 with 180ks though
  14. I wonder if Baylor let him call his own game entirely.
  15. Go look at your post history. I have never ever initiated a conversation with you as your posts are all critical of others and add nothing to the conversation. An actual decent percentage of your posts are some absurd, negative, jab at me though. Its weird. That would be the definition of following someone around. Hope that helps.
  16. Fair enough, my apologies. That was wrong of me.
  17. Get into it with me? Lol. Present an actual fact based point and add something to the discussion that isnt some absurd arbitrary rule that encompasses players based on things outside of their control. Its amazing how everyone who plays and covers the game and watches him says hes about as incredible a bat as exist. It's almost like we are seeing the same thing. Weird. Pal, I'm giving you thought on what teams are looking for and how they evaluate risk. If you want to argue that a guy with two elite hit tools is the riskiest top 10 pick, then you go ahead and do so... just know you're factually wrong and that is not how an mlb team would evaluate risk. Risk is separation between PV and FV - which is why high school kids are inherently riskier as the math confirms.
  18. True Jack, but risk is tied to the discrepancy between PV and FV. There is less risk tied to guys who are closer to their FV with their PV. Saying you dont draft guys based on their tools today is absolutely laughable.
  19. Well no, I wouldnt be, as high schoolers by grade do not receive elite tool grades outside of speed and arm strength. I'm talking present value not FV. Maybe you're confused.
  20. God that's so short and so quick. Unreal really. Agree with Byrnes, watching that swing is a thing of beauty.
  21. What is funny? Name another one... a plus tool is not an elite tool.
  22. No. Hes not. This is literally factually wrong no matter how many times you say.
  23. There are only two players in this draft with 2+ elite tools right now - adley and rutsch.
  24. Yeah, I had heard this as had most. I disagreed with law. They were passing on adley if he fell. They loved Witt
