Ignoring voting results, I'm not really sure Florida is all that more red than Illinois in terms of the actual makeup of people. Regardless, It's hard to ignore how much better the large municipalities are doing right now pretty much across the board.
But you're right the minority hesitancy is real.
I'm not Tony apologist, but using .012 points of win percentage to definitively say Renteria is better than LaRussa, especially when one managed a 60 game season, is one of the more absurd points of evidence I've seen on here.
I disagree, but that's beside the point. They traded two members of the supporting cast who were awol anyway to bolster a spot (non-hendriks relievers ) that has been awful with someone who had been absolutely lights out.

I think that's how it goes with most teams, go on an extended run of being really hot and then just kinda okay before and after. The sox hottest run just came early at this point. Hopefully they get hot again
