No not everyone is going to be a 2 win player, but you should look to improve on the people that aren’t.
Also I don’t think this team can afford to trot out a below average lineup like they did in 05.
The value of the Win number is purely descriptive, in an unnecessarily specific way . There's nothing it tells you that something else doesn't communicate more reliably.
If anything it makes me wish there was something better to parse out game to game performance.
Cole and Strasburg are the only ones I'd be comfortable calling front end, I don't totally trust the other three for some reason or another. So, yeah I guess we're more or less on the same page.
I'm not even sure it has to be a front end starter, you just need a bunch of insulation from having to turn to someone like Covey and Detwiler. Certainly would be preferable though.
Next year, it has to be a 4 man bench by rule. 26 man roster, 13 pitcher max. I feel like people often forget that and the minimum batters faced for relievers next year.
